I like the storyline of this show,it attract me so much
hyped garbage
what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.
Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
I find this movie very, very needless. If it could swap out it's gore budget for casting, maybe it would have something. The movie was just cheap suspense with gore. This is a Quentin Tarantino film with power-rangers editing.
First off, it's a low budget movie with some seriously cheesy acting. That being said, I really liked it for what it is. It's suspenseful, intense, bloody, and original. Like almost horror flicks, some of the characters make some very frustrating and stupid decisions, and it can be kind of predictable. But it is fun, in a bunch of people getting sniped off kind of way. Honestly, if this movie had a larger budget and perhaps some better actors, it would have probably been a hit. As is, it is still better than a lot of horror movies that Hollywood is pushing out. If you can look past it's obvious flaws, you will probably like this one.
My quick rating - 6,1/10. Pretty tense movie. You wouldn't think there would be much to keep your attention being pinned on the side of a car by a sniper. But for 1.5 hours, this movie had me watching. I think they key to success is the fact that these were everyday people. Not the "one" person who happens to coincidentally be ex-navy seal, or something like that. And the ways that they respond to the terror of being trapped on the side of the road by some person for no apparent reason, plucking them off for fun, and at will was quality stuff. For the gore fans, the effective use of blood, and also suggested further body damage was quite gruesome. I was close to putting this in the horror category, but I'll stick with thriller, with some horror elements. Drop in a very good ending, and you end up with a darn good movie. Don't bother with the other reviews on IMDB. Too many said the "why didn't they do this, or that" and appreciate this movie for thinking, "what would I do" and I bet you won't just be coming up with clever mcgyver ideas, but would most likely be peeing yourself in fear. This just makes it all the more real (in fiction)
Yes, not hype, but a recognition of sorts, of minimalistic storyline, and a fair amount of what you came for; horror. The sense of dread starts about the 20 minute mark in, and continues til the credits get ready to roll. Originality is subjective, but hard to find genre films of a group of 20 somethings, who run aground without use of their phones no less, and get trapped behind their impaired vehicle for the better part of 90 minutes by an unknown. The "unknown" being a sadistic sniper. Not a spoiler, but it's pretty much known going in, trailer and all.It picks up a head of steam...tapers off for an act, and the final act is over the top....Gore *Check*, Suspense *Check*, Tension *Check*, Release **Yep*There is no rhyme or reason, just carnage and exploitive violence and it's a script/plot that is scaled back of information and depth, and it's not afraid to be just that...and that's where you check your brains and just enjoy the ride.
