It's no definitive masterpiece but it's damn close.
This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.
There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.
Profoundly amazing movie.. Must watch for god time.. Either you will be on side you like the movie.. or you will think its overrated.. But for me its decent movie.. with few laughs. If you like my review give me thumbs up.
There are no truly original heist/con movies left. Not any more, not ever again. But seeing Will Smith be Will Smith again (finally)? That was fun. Here's to fewer alien fighters and more real characters moving forward, Will. That's what movie stardom should look like. Hopefully next time you have a more original story to go with it.
Smith is DOA and the writers don't even know Flip in this under-cooked caper that belongs in a jar with other seldom seen condiments. Every attempt to extract any chemistry from the leads (Smith and Robbie) puts out all the heat you might expect from a post grad party at a rural casino. She may yet eek out a career, but his is shot. The mixture is just foolish. Reviews require ten lines of text. Here come four more:....... ....... ...... ...... ....... ......... ........ ........ .... ...... ......... .......... ............ ............... .......... ....... .......... ......... ........ .......... ......... .......etc.
Will Smith returns to leading roles as Nicky Spurgeon - a classic name if there ever was one - a seasoned con artist who takes young Margot Robbie under his wings, only to leave her hanging after a successful job, only to meet her again in the middle of a crucial con job. You know the drill.Probably the only major sin I can lay against this film is the fact that it just isn't that original. It is well-made, has some good twists like a con film should, has excellent lead actors and is all-around enjoyable to watch. But I don't think I'm going to remember it all that well over the coming years. The intro to the con business is well-made, but standard. The job itself, while enjoyable, is pretty standard. The final twist, while certainly surprising yet hinted at well enough, is standard. But then, that's movie business for you. It's not like I cannot enjoy generic action films. Do I wish they were more original? Of course, but they still give me the explosions, shoot-outs and guns galore I want. And this film gives me slick locations, charming rogues and good twists. Exactly what I want from a hustler film. You a Will Smith fan? You a Margot Robbie fan? You a con film fan? See this film.
