Save your money for something good and enjoyable
The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.
There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes
The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
Beautiful story interesting to watch even if you're not a F1 enthusiast.
The film is really beautiful and keeps you engaged in it all the time. Besides the fact that the culmination in the ending is gorgeous, the course of the film is beautifully handled too. During the movie you are willing to see what is going to happen and the whole scenario keeps you engaged all the time. And something that makes this film remarkably beautiful, is that it gives you the opportunity to see how your enemy can become the main source of your power and at the same time one of the best persons in your life.
Everything about this film clicks really well: the writing, music, lead actors, Ron Howard's direction...in fact I think this is one of his absolute best films, and I wonder why the rest of his films aren't all like this. He shows an eye for human drama and peril, and captures both excellently. As other reviews here attest, this works as a character study of two real life figures, and by the end of the film you feel you know both of them well. However Howard also does justice to the era (music, clothing, etc.) and Formula One itself - the danger, the pure audacity. Also of note is Hans Zimmer's confident score.
This is the first F1 film i have ever seen and i am not dissapointed.
