Best movie of this year hands down!
A Disappointing Continuation
When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.
what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.
Okay the thing about this movie is...... Well the best thing I can tell you is to go into this movie not expecting hilarity Because you will dislike it i hated it the first time I saw as I found it funny but not hilarious And to me I was like what a let down But I rewatched before doing this review and it was only then that I realised how beautiful The movie was how heartfelt it was only then did I absolutely love the movie It's not a comedy I look at it as a warm hearted movie with some funny moments
Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson play two strangers, yin and yang of the modern world, who meet under dire circumstances and embark on a quest to live their final days as if there's no tomorrow. Which, given their diagnosis, might not be so far from the truth. It's got a good heart, but the two legendary leads don't get much script to really sink their teeth into and the trouble they find together often crosses from quaintly naive to downright unrealistic. To me, there was far more of interest in the relationship between Nicholson's grumpy, wannabe-refined old miser and his ironic, long-suffering personal assistant than between Jack and his calm, knowledgeable new travel partner. Still, it has a cute concept, some fun moments, and it moves swiftly, avoiding the typical bog-down of most films of a similar subject matter. As easygoing, feel-good and optimistic a take as you'll ever get from a movie about dying of brain cancer, it's safe, light viewing for the family audience.
I really loved this movie. I think an open-minded person would love this movie. Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman played their roles exceptional great. It were really a flawless movie which I enjoyed every minute of.Beside the funny moments and the enjoyment, it really makes you think about the joy of life. It really makes you appreciate what you have and that you should appreciate it. As it's quoted in the movie: Get joy in your life and that others should get joy from you. Because life flies like time. One should really appreciate every great moment of your life and treasure them. This is really one of the main point I rated this movie so high. It made me rethink, appreciate and treasure the moments I have with my family and close ones. One should live a life the way you think is right without any regrets.Really a great movie. I recommend everyone watch this movie. Movies like these ones are really few out there, so one shouldn't miss it. :)
Imagine the horror of having to share a hospital room! That's like the worse thing that has happened to the rich creep in this movie and then he finds out he has inoperable cancer. No problem, he goes off on an orgy of spending to fulfill his bucket list. Here's a bit of free advice: if you can charge everything on your bucket list to your credit card you are one shallow human being. Far be it from me to tell anyone else what they should or shouldn't do but I've seen enough of life to understand that money doesn't go very far in the "life enrichment" department. This movie is like that ridiculous Make a Wish Foundation that sends dying kids to Disneyland or wherever when what these kids probably really need is just for someone to hold their hand and read them a story. This lifestyle porn film is just one more bit of doggerel telling us that consumption is the same thing as creativity or fulfillment. To turn the old phrase "if you're so smart how come you aren't rich?" in my view it should read, "If you're so rich why aren't you smart?"
