Wonderful character development!
To me, this movie is perfection.

Funny, strange, confrontational and subversive, this is one of the most interesting experiences you'll have at the cinema this year.
Ambitious but troubled movie director Edward D. Wood Jr. tries his best to fulfill his dreams, despite his lack of support. Ed Wood benefits from an excellent and crazy perfomance from Johnny Depp as Ed Wood and Martin Landau as Bela Lugosi although i was kind of disappointed with the rest of the cast which was a bit of hit and miss especially Bill Murray was phoning in for the biggest majority of the film. As far as direction goes Burton has done an amazing job setting the locations and the atmosphere right in order to re-create the 50's and alongside with Elfman's score we have a very good looking film but it's far away from being Burton's best work to date i'm afraid. (7/10)
The most entertaining biopic ever created! Probably the best of the Burton/Depp collaborations! It Celebrates everything Ed Wood was. It is a strange, funny and a bit sad, but ultimately full of heart. A triumphant story of a man who wanted to make movies! The visual style is great, the humor spot on and the acting sharp(Landau's Lugosi is AMAZING!).
Ed WoodThere are few laughs here and there drawn out from witty lines and amusing characters despite of resonating a lot to the practicality of the nature. A smart adaptation by Scott and Larry from Rudolph Grey's book is not only funny but edited perfectly too. Tim Burton as always excels in execution but this one was quite exciting to encounter since this wasn't one of his sketchy created world that he normally walks on. Ed Wood works great on terms of craft that one can explore into but it also offers the audience very little to hold onto on terms of entertainment.
If you are a Burton/Depp fan this is the one for you to enjoy! I won't spoil anything of the movie i'll just say that I really enjoy this movie, it has fun parts, dark humor everything to enjoy a good dramatic-comedy biography movie. I think its one of Burton's best treasure of his filmography and one of best Depp performance ever.
