The Physician

The Worst Film Ever
It's hard to see any effort in the film. There's no comedy to speak of, no real drama and, worst of all.
In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.
When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.
The movie started out good but later turned into utter rubbish, villainizing islam and making it look evil. Lots of historical inaccuracies, just another hollywood propaganda movie.
In terms of filming this is a great movie but I am really sad to see again that film makers intentionally try to show Muslim's and Islam as evil as a fashion. Which makes ignorant people filled with hatred which is rising the tension between civilizations. Historically the story is twisted. Ibn-Sina as he was born in Uzbekistan was Turkish origin while he was really one of the greatest scientist at his time and been know as the origin of modern medicine of the western world so the whole world. And Seljuk's who were also a Turkish tribe been there about 50 years later after Ibn-Sina's death. Seljuk's were great warriors but they were not evil as shown in this movie besides Seljuk's were extremely merciful to people under their rule and they build a great civilization and known to be good supporters of science and art of their time. The character of Rob Cole is not very Strong as it could have been. He has no flaws. Actors have done their part very well, but the script is not the best of all. The story is otherwise very insightful and the film, very entertaining.
I did not read the book so after i saw the movie i read the summary of the book at Wiki. The story line is almost the same . If u value history and facts u have to bare the ignorance of novelist and the director ! Their ignorance may be intentional. Before the year 1938 there were a lot of intentional pieces about Jews in Nazi Germany. In the year 2013 when the movie was on screen there is Islamophobia around the world and this movie may intensify the ignorance of the ignorant people. I can understand the need of a fictional character from the view of novelist but at least he could stick with the historical facts if he was not meant to serve Islamophobia. I don't believe the novelist meant that but the German makers of the movie definitely thought about it ! Ps: Am not Muslim or believe in any other religion.
