Watch Day of the Dead For Free

It’s an especially fun movie from a director and cast who are clearly having a good time allowing themselves to let loose.

Your blood may run cold, but you now find yourself pinioned to the story.

The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.

The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful

Only thing this had to do with Day of the dead (1985) is that they are both zombie movies. Other that I will say it not a remake. It is great horror movie thou. 4.5 is underrating it. I give it 9 out 10. It has a great story line. It also has great acting. It also has great special effects. It is very scary. This a great zombie film. This movie is a must see. It one of the best horror movies of all time. Mena Suvari is a great actress. Nick Cannon is a great actor. Steve Miner is a great film maker. This is a very scary movie. See it. This movie is scarier then The Silence of the lambs ever could be. If it does not scary you no movie will. This is a very scary movie.

Mena Suvari is a sweet decent actress. she shone in several 90's movies, whether they were comedies, or erotic dramas, but here she tries her hand at a horror flick. Did she do well? I can say, that maybe she personally was not bad, but the movie itself is a mediocre attempt to make yet another zombie kill film. They are aplenty, they run, kill, eat, attacks, roar, yell and do frighten... There is nothing new, and all the clichés are here galore. That was not a really poor film, but so predictable, so obvious, that yawn appeared soon, and ReWind button became a Must. Sad but true, the movie drags along and never grabs our real attention. Can be viewed once and then very quickly forgotten

Okay, the good news: There's excellent talent in this film. The bad news: It's completely wasted! Shortly after the great 2005 remake of George Romero's DAWN OF THE DEAD, along came this half-hearted attempt at remaking his sequel, DAY OF THE DEAD. "Half-hearted" might even be too strong of a word. Try "half-baked, pea-brained, sleep-inducing fiasco"! Yeah, that works much, much better. Never mind that it's got Mena Suvari, Nick Cannon, or Ving Rhames (a carry-over from the DAWN OF THE DEAD remake?) Trust me, while they are good actors, this film isn't one any of them would want listed on their resumes. Now the story, if you can call it that: Somewhere in Colorado, a mysterious flu-like virus has decimated a town... Oh please, do I really need to tell you the rest?! Blah-Blah-Blah... Zombies... Blah... Running and shrieking... Blah-Blah-Blah... Jumping implausibly high... Blah... Even climbing upside down on ceilings... Blah-Blah... Survivors trying to get out... Blah-Blah... Ving Rhames eats his own eyeball... Missile silo... Huge explosion... BOOM! THE END! Not much else to say, really. Avoid it like the plague it is. And if you think the zombie genre couldn't possibly get any lower, look out for DAY OF THE DEAD 2.

First off this movie ain't that bad.. it suffers from taking the name of the original I will grant that. and the cameo from Rhames makes people believe that it was a sequel to the latter Dawn of the Dead from 04. I thought it was interesting, I mean there's only so many ways you can tell a zombie story,, we all know the legends,, and what they do ,, so they idea is to have interesting characters,, and have the zombies do stuff they never done before,, climb walls,, walk faster stuff like that. I felt the movie wasn't that bad,, it could have used some better characters,, but the make up and effects were kick butt. the zombies did pretty cool things in this movie, so that was fun to watch,, I just think this would have been better maybe with a little more plot and storyline.
