Good concept, poorly executed.
Pretty good movie overall. First half was nothing special but it got better as it went along.
a film so unique, intoxicating and bizarre that it not only demands another viewing, but is also forgivable as a satirical comedy where the jokes eventually take the back seat.
As somebody who had not heard any of this before, it became a curious phenomenon to sit and watch a film and slowly have the realities begin to click into place.
i watch a lot of movies but didn't recognize a single face in this film ( well , apart from all those cameos that is ) so i did not have much expectations from the movie , a movie without any big star in the lead roles but i was pleasantly surprised . this movie was super funny , constantly . very well written script and dialogues , appropriate acting , a lot of cameos of well recognized faces .
I remember watching Entourage on TV a few years ago in India and boy I loved the series. Could barely manage to watch a complete season but whenever the show was on, I was smiling to say the least. The movie is disappointing and I blame the writer-director Ellin for that. It was good idea to make a movie having such wonderful characters and a decent story. But the writing is lame.In short, Vince is directing a film and Ari is producing it. But the movie has gone over budget and Ari is slowly losing it. It how Vince and Ari solve the problem. The actors are in fine form and thanks to them you can watch the film. I also liked Turtle and Ronda's small story. Why I say the writing is lame because the writers fail to make a cocktail of drama and comedy as in the case of The Hangover and what finally comes is mixed breed. Not bad and not good.
Entourage returns in movie form with the guys partying in Ibiza after Vince's marriage is over as soon as it began.Ari Gold now a studio head ends up giving Vince a directing and starring gig in a movie version of Jekyll & Hyde. As for the rest of the gang, Vince's brother Drama still looking for that big break has an acting gig in the film and ends up in a porn clip, Turtle wants to go out with Ronda Rousey and E is womanising left, right and centre and is having a baby with Sloan amongst all the sex he is having. For Ari trouble begins when billionaire co-financier Billy Bob Thornton invites him to Texas and tells him he has concerns with Vince's movie Hyde. He sends his son Haley Joel Osment to Hollywood to have a look at the film but he detests it and he hates Vince. It is left to Ari to salvage the situation with the studio head breathing down his neck and Ari does not need any more stress as the medication he is taking is causing havoc in his own sex life.If you like the Entourage guys then you would like the banter and humour some of it is funny, some of it is just sexist. Just notice all the nudity is female nudity and the women are there to party and sleep with someone remotely famous.Still whatever the trouble the guys stick together even if they may not have too many brain cells between them such as E thinking that the girl he banged the previous afternoon might be pregnant. It is a silly, meandering film with a host of cameos, such as Liam Neeson turning up to give a middle finger and financier Warren Buffet for no discernible reason at all. Yet it is entertaining and watchable enough with several laughs.
Entourage is an exquisite masterpiece from the very first episode to the movie! The series and show are a must see. The cast is absolutely amazing and they all crush their roles. The production team did an outstanding job, this truly is must see TV. I have seen the show and movie about 10 times already in full and I will continue to re watch them. If you have not seen them I highly recommend it! The movie picks up right where season eight leaves off. By the time you're done watching you feel like you're apart of the Entourage family. I want to thank everyone who played apart in the creation of this remarkable project! I pray Mark, Doug & the Entourage team keep them coming!
