Best movie ever!

Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.

When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.

This story has more twists and turns than a second-rate soap opera.

Wonderfully creepy, get-under-your-skin horror movie! Writer/director Victor Salva frames the film with a fairly basic unstoppable monster movie set-up, with a brother and sister traveling across the country and finding themselves stalked by The Creeper, but Salva tells his story with so much flavor and texture that "Jeepers Creepers" stands apart from most horror films. The film's timeless setting, which is clearly contemporary but feels as if it could also have been in an earlier time, such as the1920s dust bowl or a post war 1950s, give the film mythical feel. The film's use of sound design is exceedingly good, from the Creeper's truck horn, to the ambient sounds of the Creeper's lair, to the echoey record playing of Paul Whiteman's version of Jeepers Creepers, all burns into your memory. Director Salva also fills the film with eerie visuals that equally burn themselves into your brain, such as the the long drainpipe leading to the Creeper's lair, or The Creeper's frightening silhouetted axe, or the film's final image, which I won't spoil here. In addition to eerie imagery and sound design, Salva fills his film with a wonderful amount of suspense and dread. As a writer, Salva does a nice job of slowly revealing the lore behind this mysterious Creeper figure. (SPOILER ALERT!) There's one moment late in the film after The Creeper has been run over by a car and a large single wing suddenly appears from the prone figure and is a wonderful oh-my-gosh-what-is-going-on-here moment! Overall, "Jeepers Creepers" is a must see for horror film fans and is a rather unique rural supernatural horror tale, but I don't believe "Jeepers Creepers" is a film that will appeal to a wider audience.

Jeepers Creepers was one of the first Hollywood horror films that I watched. Sneaking into the living room while the parents were asleep, connecting the earphones to the TV while keeping the lights off, it sure was a cinematic experience that I haven't forgotten and although it doesn't affect me now the way it did back then, there's much about it that I still admire.The story of Jeepers Creepers follows two siblings who, while on their way back home, witness a mysterious person dumping something down a tunnel. After finding out what was dumped down there, they set off to get help but soon find themselves being stalked & tormented by an old, rusty truck and ultimately learn that their pursuer is something way more horrifying.Written & directed by Victor Salva, the film opens on an impressive note and keeps its menacing tone alive during the first act but stumbles down the road & becomes derivative in the remaining hour. Salva introduces an eerie vibe earlier into the story, and sets things up really well but loses his grip as the plot progresses. Still, it's damn effective when it's supposed to be.The part of siblings & their dynamic is well written & executed but it's the characteristics of the Creeper and how everything about him is slowly revealed that makes up for its most interesting part. The isolated countryside location adds to its unsettling aura and also brilliantly carried out is its homage to Steven Spielberg's Duel, for that old, rusty truck was just as intimidating, if not more.Coming to the acting department, the cast consists of Gina Philips, Justin Long, Jonathan Breck & others, with all three playing their part ably. Breck's screen presence in full costume & make-up is creepy and the more his character reveals its true form, the more unnerving it becomes. Philips & Long exhibit that sibling dynamic but it's their shared moments that contributes more to the story than their individual inputs.On an overall scale, Jeepers Creepers opens strongly, with a promise of better things to come, but that part never really arrives as the film ends up being bogged by genre clichés in the second half and becomes quite predictable near the end. Still, the sinister atmosphere, smart build-up & some shocking moments do provide enough weight that it may still surprise a few unsuspecting viewers. Definitely worth a watch, at least once.

"You know the part in scary movies when somebody does something really stupid, and everybody hates them for it? This is it." I really liked this...I can't say a lot about the plot but I LOVED the kills!! What it lacks in dialogue is more than made up for in brutality...this was a lot of fun to watch. Before you stick this in your player...and you should...ask yourself, "Is that my scarecrow?"

This is movie is so hilariously bad that i can't help but like it. It has become my favorite unintentional comedy at least i think it's unintentional either way these two college kids use corny lines left and right and do some of the most unbelievable things ever. Hey did you see that i think he threw a body down that hole... lets go check it out oh and i think i'd like it if you dangled me down the edge of this hole so that i can hollar more clearly cuz you know that whole 6 ft might make my hollars more audible to the dead body we think we saw him throw down the hole..... oh just don't drop me...ahhhhhhhh....(of course he fell) are you f'in kidding me right now....holy crap this movie is one of the kings of corny and i don't usually like these kinds of movies in fact the first time i saw it i hated it. I got bored a few years later and ended up wathcing it again and couldn't help but lmao at it. Now i watch about once a year i sometimes skip most of the end for it winds down into a bore fest cause after you know what happens last 20 mins hold little entertainment. This and shock em dead are probably my 2 fav super corny "horror" flicks ever i don't even watch horror movies anymore but this one in particular is just too funny to not rewatch every once in a while.
