When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.

It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.

There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes

An old-fashioned movie made with new-fashioned finesse.

An ex-mercenary known for finding missing children is hired by a mixed martial arts fighter whose daughter has been kidnapped. Six Bullets is without a doubt one of Van Damme's best films from the last few years it's quite fun but also action packed with terrific martial arts sequences but also very dramatic driven with Jean Claude being haunted by a job that went "terribly wrong". Personally if you love JCVD's films or a good and relaxing action movie this is the picture for you but if not? probably i would advice you to skip it and see something else. (A+)

I am not a big fan of Jean Claude and thought he had his hey day 20 years ago and found most of his later stuff a bit corny as though it was coming straight off a production line but I am now having to rethink this. The action in this film is not your usual fake, unconvincing kicks and roundhouses but more in the style of Taken with Liam Neeson and is very well choreographed and not your usual sanitised violence.I have always liked Joe Flanigan from Stargate Atlantis - he has always been a favorite actor and he was well cast in this. There were some really cool ideas like the pen with the hypodermic - never seen that one before. This was a rather good action movie; much much better than expected. It seems Jean Claude has re-invigorated his acting career and his older world worn, chiselled face makes him seem altogether more real and less plastic than his old persona if this is anything to judge by.

I could always take or leave Jean Claude Van Damme's action films, even in the eighties - he was always second fiddle to Schwarzenegger and Stallone. Then he seemed to go off radar for years into an abyss of B and C movies that went straight to DVD.And here he is again, going straight to DVD. However, for a change, this one's actually pretty good. JCVD plays an ex soldier or mercenary (they call him both, but it doesn't matter) who now works as a butcher, in between rescuing kidnapped children from the clutches of vile child-trafficking gangsters in Eastern Europe. So, when an American couple lose their fourteen-year-old daughter, who ya' gonna' call? One way to describe Six Bullets would be 'a poor man's Taken' as it has elements of the hit Liam Neeson film where he has to rescue his kidnapped daughter in similar circumstances and surroundings. But that would be a little unfair, as Six Bullets does just enough to try and make it its own film in its own right. For a start, the American couple don't just sit back and let the Muscles from Brussels do all the work, they take up arms and give him a helping hand. There's not much here that's new, but it's done in a decent enough way to be worth a watch if you fancy seeing another action film.Solid and definitely Van Damme's best film in years (not including The Expendables 2).http://thewrongtreemoviereviews.blogspot.co.uk/

Van Damme is absolutely brilliant in this film. Yes it was in the vein of, "Taken" but 6 Bullets stands on it's own merits. I gave this a 10 out of 10, because I just didn't expect it to be as good as it was. I watch every Van Damme film and normally I enjoy them, but this one is one of his better films since JCVD. All of the actors were very, very good and the story was good as well. Human Trafficking is one of the sickest things on this planet and it's movies like this that inform people and hopefully, more people will do something in real life to stop this stuff. Thanks Van Damme for bringing your "A" game. It's good to know that even though you're over 50, you've still got it dude! Great job!
