Nice effects though.
It's funny watching the elements come together in this complicated scam. On one hand, the set-up isn't quite as complex as it seems, but there's an easy sense of fun in every exchange.
It is a whirlwind of delight --- attractive actors, stunning couture, spectacular sets and outrageous parties. It's a feast for the eyes. But what really makes this dramedy work is the acting.
This movie is definitely worth a watch but does not have enough character and story development. It's a great idea but falls flat compared to its source material. Seriously, the book is 100 times better. For some reason the filmmakers decided to rearrange the sequence of events and leave out important lines and moments that made the book so impactful. I have no idea why they decided to do this because it really hinders the movie. The book is so emotionally investing and moving, and it's a real shame I did not get that same feeling here. And on a less serious note, the main actress was great but she looks like a grad student, not a highschooler. It really took me out of the moment.

Alyssa Lynch stars in the film. The main role plays Zoey Dutch. My favourite character is Samantha Kingston because she perfectly describes her painful death. I think teenagers would like this film.
Let's face it. This movie comes across as a remake of "Groundhog Day". Whereas Groundhog Day was a man in his late 30's reevaluating his life in a comedy. This is a young teenage girl re-evaluating her life in a drama. This movie has the standard teenage angst and coping with maturing, school, people, parents and life. But without the usual "it's my parents fault" idea. If you can get over the obvious Groundhog Day similarity's it's not a bad movie and worth a watch.
Before I Fall, is truly a very very important movie about bullying and being the best person you possibly can be. After dying from a car accident, Sam wakes up reliving the same day over and over. Now the movie seems boring and pointless, however the movie had heart and passion. This movie had me in tears and made me wonder what makes me a good person? What are some things I need to work on? How can I show love towards this person or that person? Before I Fall reminds us that we only have one life and what we choose to do within that small time we have on this Earth is up to us. I highly recommend the movie to anyone out there old or young. The movie has changed my life and the way I look at myself. This film will have you in tears."Maybe for you there's a tomorrow.
