To me, this movie is perfection.
it is finally so absorbing because it plays like a lyrical road odyssey that’s also a detective story.
It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.
The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.
The Messengers is a horror film with Kristen Stewart and Dylan McDermott. The film revolves around family, haunted house, dead ghosts, wow! how f'in original. The Messengers was a film I probably got in a thrift shop and left in my room and I found it then and decided to watch it as an original horror film that could be worth it..boy,f*****g was it..The Messengers is a boring horror film that has terrible acting considering it has good actor Dylan McDermott who i was actually depending on to make this film good but instead, was a boring actor who played your usual uh..dad. The Messengers is a boring, not good, very UNoriginal horror film
An ominous darkness invades a seemingly serene sunflower farm in North Dakota, and the Solomon family is torn apart by suspicion, mayhem and murder. The Messengers is kinda like The Grudge but only better it stars Kristen Stewart, Penelope Ann Miller, John Corbett and Dylan McDermott is it a perfect film? No there are flaws and maybe mostly the ending where a character is revealed as the villain but is it bad? Not at all it's pretty intense, the characters and the acting is pretty good and it's also pretty creepy for example if you liked End of Days from 1999 or other films like that then you will definitely enjoy this one as well and that's why i'll give it a 10 out of 10 at least it's better than half horror movies that come out today.
This is the best ghost movie i think i have ever seen. The special effects were very good if not great. I get really tired of reading reviews of very good movies that are almost always bad. So i thought i would write a review of a very good movie for a chance. If you like ghost movies, this one is the best i have ever seen. I usually do not like ghost movies, i cannot ever be scared of one, but this one has a very different take and the ending explains the entire movie. The cast is excellent, the special effects are very good and the plot is good as well. A little slow at first, but as the movie goes along, the better it gets. This is a movie well worth seeing.
I can only imagine that the sad and lonely fan-club members of Kristen Stewart must have executed a successful IMDb "Vote or Die" campaign to provide a break from doing their day-long "wrist exercises." But at least you won't need opposable thumbs to reap a climax here because this movie is stale, refried Follywood crap on a copper spoon. But if you liked "Drag Me to Hell" than this one might be your crowning glory. The impotent storyline hasn't the slightest hint of anything original while the scripting appropriately follows suit. As for the score, I couldn't really hear it over the sound of the lame harbingers of death we call crows. And unfortunately for our cute, bucktooth heroin the best "acting" seen in this movie is proffered by a toddler. His sometimes excessive "pointing" is not only utterly riveting drama at its best, but clearly deserving of, at the least, an Oscar nomination. You'll find more thrills and horror in My Big Fat Greek Wedding than the Messengers will provide-not to mention the humus, Tahini sauce, and a pseudo-original plot. This movie isn't a complete mess in respect to the cinematography, as there are some well planned and executed shots of a sunflower field. But still...flush first, ask questions later.
