The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.
A lot of perfectly good film show their cards early, establish a unique premise and let the audience explore a topic at a leisurely pace, without much in terms of surprise. this film is not one of those films.
If you do not know this generation you would say if you had nothing good to say ? "I say my opinion is Breathe taking every second every cigar every inch of onthinkable Perpective , complete American Gold! #Goldenglobe to Jodie Fosters Flight plan in comparison . Even lethal weapon could not come close to Calculation . #Blown away .
Clearly the main idea behind this movie was to have Robert De Niro and Al Pacino together in the same movie, just to get the movie mentioned in the same breath as "The Godfather 2" and "Heat" (being the only other movies that they have both appeared in). Add in Brian Dennehy and this starts to look like a Hollywood retirement village.Fairly conventional plot, though pretty lame at times. Nothing special, and certainly not deserving of the talents of De Niro and Pacino.De Niro and Pacino put in solid, though unspectacular, performances. Decent supporting cast.
Righteous Kill is a better than average movie with a decent storyline that is certainly a lot more promising that it turned out and a great cast.I was really excited to watch this movie, the story sounded so original and thrilling, and with Robert De Niro and Al Pacino in the leads I thought it was definitely going to be great, and while it was certainly not awful,it was very disappointing.De Niro and Pacino's performance a good, but it was enough to making up for the screenplay that has a lot less thrills and excitement that I thought and is at times very predictable.I felt like the cast only did this for money because I find it unlikely that they genuinely thought it was a great script, however, the cast is definitely the reason why I am not giving this movie a lower score, because their professional acting made some really poorly written scenes much more bearable.Righteous Kill is not an awful film,it certainly is watchable, but unless you just want to see every film with Robert De Niro or Al Pacino, you're better off avoiding this one.Two New York cops investigate a series of murders where the victims are criminals who have escaped justice.
Turk (Robert De Niro) and Rooster (Al Pacino) are aging police detective partners. They are after a smart drug dealer Spider (50 Cent). Also somebody is killing the criminal class. Other police detectives are played by Carla Gugino, John Leguizamo, Brian Dennehy, and Donnie Wahlberg. While it's great to see such superior actors chew up the dialog, I wish that they had better material to use. There are flash forwards that are either annoyingly on the nose, or bad obvious redirection. Either way it is unnecessary. The movie is better off without the distraction. The style has a bit of cheese, but mostly a TV police drama feel. It's not a strong suit. These actors deserve better. It just doesn't have any big cinematic visuals. The action isn't there, and there is no energy. It's obvious what the movie is trying to do. While it isn't actually cheating, it does make me feel manipulated. It's like a magician who's too obvious with a trick. It leaves me feeling underwhelmed.
