Truly Dreadful Film

i must have seen a different film!!

The best films of this genre always show a path and provide a takeaway for being a better person.

Full of the glorification of American military might in some rose-tinted view of the world. It seems more like a propaganda film than a decent movie. The awful dead-voiced narration just adds to the feeling of a lackluster story that has nothing real or true to say. Who cares how accurate the film is in depicting battle. If it has no real story then it's not worth a damn.A waste of time - I'd rather watch an Expendables movie.

This follows a team of Navy SEALs who race against the clock to stop a planned terrorist attack on US soil. Apparently inspired by actual events it also interestingly features a cast of active duty soldiers as our lead actors.According to other reviews the action scenes (using live ammunition) are "amazing" "breathtaking" and realistic but what do I know about such things. Here's what I thought ...opening scenes... Oh my god you're not going to blow up all those kids are you? Damn! You blew up all the kids! So yeah, violent with decent special effects. Much globe trotting in and out of mission zones, a thin plot, and underdeveloped characters (that I kept getting mixed up because they were all so similar (looking and in character.) I also got a bit bored in the middle because it was just gunfire, shoot-um-up for about an hour. I think if you're into video game,s Call of Duty or have some actual military service under your belt this might be awesome. I guess as a straight out action movie it was pretty decent

This is a great military movie. Very action packed and great story. I feel like there's a lot of crappy movie critics on here. The scene when the military comes up out of the water on to the house in the jungle was epic.

I'm not military or have been but reviewers who have served agree this is technically right on. Excellent and interesting strategic action scenes show the great skill and timing and risk involved What i probably most liked was .that I was touched by the amazing courage that some guys are capable of...that there does exist a sense of duty and commitment and sacrifice....These days Patriotism has been damaged by politics and corporate policies....and while loyalty to USA protocols is certainly a theme here I reacted to it less then just the sense that 'being the best you can be' is a personal CHOICE...that heroism is a real state of spirit...and a most wonderful thing that can take the ultimate price....Made me feel a sense of gratitude to the peoplewho have made this amazing DECISION and the back it up.About an excellence that really e3sists...amazing.
