I like the storyline of this show,it attract me so much
A different way of telling a story
If the ambition is to provide two hours of instantly forgettable, popcorn-munching escapism, it succeeds.
The first must-see film of the year.
With Van Damme's trademark Inferno/Desert Heat is about a tired man (Van Damme) who looking for a old war mate (Danny Trejo) to ask permission to take his life...but before he meets with a gang who steal your old motorcycle and shooting him leaving to die in desert....your old friend a native Indian take him to your home and healing his mortal wounds...after a short recover he goes to the revenge. Watchable movie including the fine casting like Larry Drake,Danny Trejo and Pat Morita, without forget Gabrielle Fitzpatrick among others actress,in time the three old men steal the movie mainly Bill Erwin on a remarkable role of men he needs oxygen and still smoking,no connection with Yojimbo in my opinion the story is totally different and just remembered in the movie by bus driver to meeting a girl...if the producers want some connection they just wants publicity...nothing more than this!!!
Now, 5.1 is the current rating. I say that's a great rating for a JCVD movie, but here people contributed to that score got it completely wrong.Worst ever performance by a famous lead actor. I was not expecting a western classic or a decent bad action movie. I knew exactly what was coming. But JCVD's acting right from the beginning in this one as I said worst ever performance by a famous lead actor.Gabrielle Fitzpatrick was stunningly beautiful and Pat Morita had few funny moments. There was a sex scene, a couple of nude girls, and a shot of JVCD's ass. Vincent Schiavelli as an Indian guy. Of course some absolutely horrible actions scenes. The least I expect from a decent bad action movie is tolerable acting. JVCD and most of his co-stars failed completely on that aspect.
In a town consisting of about 40 people,28 is a high proportion but,as they say in "The Mikado","They'll none of them be missed" seeing as how they were all complete nut jobs who severely p*ssed off the good folks of "Inferno",the sort of small town that you drive through very quickly whilst keeping your eyes strictly on the road ahead. "Desert Heat" is a very good and entertaining movie by Mr J.G.Avildsen that does not contain an iota of originality, depth or plot and character development but nonetheless manages to grab your attention from the start with some excellent desert photography and dexterous choice of music,first-class photography and lighting and a brilliant cast of minor characters, many of whom would have been right at home with Hawks or Ford.Yes sirree,if you're gonna steal, steal from the best. Ignoring that well-known advice about digging two graves before setting out on revenge,Eddie Lomax(J-C vD)ends up having 28 baddies buried in a canyon by the gleeful Pat Morita operating a power-tipper.Way to go,Morita-san. With so many townsfolk having challenging behaviour even J-C vD has his hands full, but with a little help from the USAF he manages in the end. Monsieur van Damme - looking more like a young Tony Curtis than ever - evidently had a lot of fun with this, and, despite being in a decidedly ambivalent relationship with his buddy Johnny Six Toes (how homo erotic is that?) rather ungallantly simultaneously beds two ladies he rescues from the grip of the local psychos.A quick glimpse of J-C vD's bottie here may be an enticement to a certain element of his fan base. In short - "Inferno" is fun, particularly so for the older movie fan who can smile at all the bits (i.e.most of it) stolen from it's olders and betters.
This Van Damme movie was a bit more of a renter than big screen material. Of course, this had some ad lib as well if you know what I mean. The cast have some well known stars. Pat Morita(The Karate Kid movies), Larry Drake(L.A. LAW, and Darkman 1&2), Danny Trejo(so many movies impossible to keep count) the same with others. A man left for dead, is typical, but when the heavy steal his wheels, that's grounds for seek and destroy! Eddie Lomax(Jean-Claude Van Damme) goes nuts in the desert, then his friend SixToes(Trejo) revives him. Going into town is where all the action and comedy starts and ends. Having slice of apple pie will definitely put a smile on anyone face. Because it's an all-American treat. My favorite part are the two Christian couple who give Lomax a room, and the old guy, had more concern about Lomax and the safety of others. Especially, when he got the two blondes out of the bar, and they got to shower and shave. It wasn't the blondes the couple should be worried about, Lomax got the thanks, he will never forget! In fact normally the woman wipes out the man during sex, in this case, he wiped out the blondes and Mrs. Reynolds felt confident that Lomax was a saint in his own way. Other than that, the movie was OK, after all. Good for fans of Van Damme, and I like the howling of the coyote in it as well. Rating 2.5 out of 5 stars.
