You won't be disappointed!
Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.
There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes
By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.

So when a group of high school students travel abroad to study in Romania, they find themselves ensnared in Gerri's chilling web of lust and terror. Fright Night 2 makes Fright Night Part II from 1988 look like The Godfather compared to this. The acting was awful, the storyline was awful and pretty much the entire movie was forgettable, bland and just a waste of time and money. Just stick with the original and skip everything else that came after it. (0/10) (F)
I wanna cry so bad. Fright Night with Colin Farrell was hilariously good but Fright Night 2 was terrible. I completely knew that it was a new cast and probably wouldn't have much to do with the first one but I was still hoping for better. The acting was D-List and not directed well. Probably the one thing I did like was the idea behind the lead female vampire and who she was. Congratulations on thinking slightly out of the box.Overall this movie was a bitter disappointment with very few frightful moments. It was lacking in suspense and you ended up not caring if the cast lived or died. They were all kind of awkward and their behaviour at times was bordering on inappropriate. Do yourself a favour and give this one a miss.
The worst horror movie of 2013. Let's get things straight. How could you remake a remake and expect it to be good? "Fright Night 2" remakes the 2011 remake and tries to add a new sub-plot that fails miserably because it reminds us (the die hard fans) of the plot of the 1988 sequel to the 1985 classic. Therefore, you can guess the outcome of this one... Oh, it's bad. The cast is atrocious except for the super sexy Jaime Murray who delivers an extremely sexy scene where she is in lingerie and making out with another woman. That alone, worths your money ;)I could not stand the new Charlie or Peter Vincent, but Evil Ed steals the show as the worst character in the franchise. The settings are nice because the Director shows the beauty of Bucarest, which is an amazing place (also known as the Little Paris) and some interesting settings near the ending. However, the Direct to Video production values are very poor and you can say this is almost a student film. Avoid it at all costs. It damaged the reputation of our beloved franchise.
Okay, there are very few horror fans that really approve of their favourite slasher movies of the seventies/eighties being 'remade, re-envisioned' or 'rebooted' (or whatever the producers want to call it when they basically want to cash in on a popular film franchise's name with the next generation of cinema-goers). However, occasionally you get a remake that sort of works. When they made the original 'Fright Night' a couple of years ago, it was reasonably successful and just about tolerated by fans of the eighties original ('tolerated' being 'high praise' for a remake!).Now we get 'Fright Night 2.' And I can't really work out where it sits in the franchise's chronology. For a start we have the two surviving characters from the first film returning. Only they're not played by the same (good) actors – a sure sign that 'part II' is heading straight to DVD. So, having them in it (in character name only) may make you think that this is a direct sequel. Only it's not. Despite being the same characters, it's a new film which ignores the first (remake). They don't know anything about vampires again and are therefore surprised when they discover that vampires exist in Romania this time (how original).Fright Night 2 is basically a remake of the first remake, because nothing before has happened. If you can get over that, you'll realise that it's just a poor retelling of the first story. This time we have Jamie Murray as the vampire who's preying on teenage virgins on school trips. Yes, she's sexy, but she's a much better actress that this role allows. Her lines are stilted and she has been known to do so much better you end up feeling sorry for her because she's about the biggest name in the film.If you like Fright Night and vampires in general, you should probably stick with the original eighties film. However, if you want something a little more modern, the Colin Farrel remake is actually quite acceptable. As for Part II... in places it got so bad I was longing for Twilight.Jamie Murray... have a word with your agent.
