Memorable, crazy movie

best movie i've ever seen.

Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.

The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;

Possibly the most stupid WWII movie I have seen. Virtually everything about it is nonsense but the biggest plot fault, if you can even call it a plot, is that the whole thing hinges on them riding a train from France to Stuttgart. They have to fight their way into the train whilst it is in the station, yet the Nazis allow the train to depart and don't stop it en route. I think that's the stupidest part of the plot but I may be wrong. Everything else is pretty stupid too.If it was funny or a musical or something maybe this would be forgivable but there's no merit to this at all. It insults the intelligence of the audience. I won't even criticise the cast. You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. They must have been paid well to make them take the script back out of the trash after first reading.

This has got to be the worst WWII film ever. The Germans never started building an atomic bomb during the war. It was never contemplated. It was never started. Besides that, it was just corny. Someone mentioned it was funny. It wasn't funny. It wasn't meant to be funny. 'Top Secret' was a funny WWII film. It was written that way. This was just bad script writing done by someone who knew nothing about WWII except, maybe there was a Battle of the Bulge in 1944. I couldn't even finish watching this. I didn't care how it ended. I just wish an atomic bomb had blown up the writer and everyone who had anything to do with this movie.

I was hoping to see a good war movie this weekend. Boy was I sorely disappointed! Using the wrong weapons, Using Russian Heavy tanks and calling them German Tiger tanks, To the Germans developing the Atomic Bomb, which we all know, they were not even close to developing it. In the Special features, the Director mentions that he built the 88mm antiaircraft out of wood and PVC pipe. I can tell you that it looks it! The Director should be ashamed of this movie, as should anyone who had any thing to do with it. Having a small budget is no excuse for producing trash. So many other quality movies have been made with smaller budgets this is just a waste of resources and good actors. Do not let the names of the Actors fool you. Bad directing will elicit poor performances from even the best actors. This movie should be passed by.

I always look forward to a good WW 2 movie or TV show but I noted so many issues with this movie. The rifles the American soldiers are carrying are British Enfields, a .303 bolt action that American soldiers did not carry. M-1 Garands, M-1 Carbines, maybe a .45 Grease Gun, B.A.R. Would have been correct. The Thompsons are fine but those rifles are all wrong. The uniforms are slightly off too. Flags worn are wrong for the period as are some ranks displayed. The German uniforms are all mixed up with SS, Wehrmacht and even Luftwaffe blends of various rank and insignia. There are some fine actors in this film such as Tom Sizemore from Saving Private Ryan, Heat, etc. He's making a comeback after some poor choices in his life. Hopefully he will stay on the wagon and keep his sights on his acting career. Vinnie Jones, a fine actor and usually a bad guy did good. Mixed in with some cameos by Neal McDonough, etc. There are some fine younger actors in the film but overall the production fell short in many areas. The movie does not have the quality of SPR or Band of Brothers, etc.
