Fading of the Cries
Jacob, a young man armed with a deadly sword, saves Sarah, a teenage girl, from Mathias, a malevolent evil that has begun plaguing a small farmland town while in search of an ancient necklace that had belonged to Sarah's uncle. Jacob sets out to get Sarah home safely, running through streets, fields, churches and underground tunnels, while being pursued by hordes of demonic creatures. Along the way, both come to terms with the demons within themselves - Sarah begins to understand her hatred towards her mother and sister may be unjustified and Jacob discovers the secrets of his past, realizing the only way to truly defeat the demons is to return to the very place his family was murdered.

Plenty to Like, Plenty to Dislike
Just perfect...
Good movie but grossly overrated
The film may be flawed, but its message is not.
I watched this movie a few months back and was recently reminded of it when a friend found it online and asked if i had seen it and i was like "hmmm... Oh yeah...mm.. Oh no" D= I was forced to watch this when my mother chose it one night on Pay Per View, and at first i didn't mind it, it just seemed like a normal movie, but about 15 minutes in i was like "Good god, this sucks, is this a spoof or something?!" if it was a spoof then i would understand but unfortunately it was meant to be a serious film. The acting was so bad that it was just laughable, The effects were so low budget that it felt like an episode of Doctor Who, The music was Un original and unfitting for most scenes, The story was lacking and the entire movie was Cliché!! To be fair there were some good scenes, but not enough, and this isn't the worst movie i have ever seen but i will admit, it was entertaining (By that i mean it was comedic) =D If you are up for a good horror then stay away from this movie, But if you are up for a laugh then you might want to try this XD (Be warned though, it really is a BAD movie)
I know there are fans of this film, but is not my case. Even when I saw FX directly from Videocopilot tutorials for AE that I could make much better than the film, there is no storyline in this movie. I found it very bored and some characters don't have any personality. I think that director/writer Brian A. Metcalf needs some lessons of how to make a sci-fi movie like a pro and not like an amateur project of college, full of shaking, bad movement displacement, bad lightning and so on.Another bad point of this movie is that a lot of explanations are missed. Come on!! Mr. Director, my imagination doesn't work as yours!. Maybe such answers are still flying in his head. Nonsense ending with guess what BAD ACTORS TOO!!. Thomas Ian Nicholas .. American Pie times are over... so as you are . I wish you better luck in your next film.
Fading Of The Cries was never made to be an intellectual Oscar winning film. Its not meant to evoke discussion on a booker prize level. What it is in fact is a great action film. A whirlwind from start to finish. I admit I had heard bad things about it and i really wasn't looking forward to watching it. I am however very glad I did, this is no kids film as i thought it would be, but what it did do was make me feel like a kid again. If you want to watch a emotive film with content that instills thought and conversation...... go watch Gandhi or Syriana..... if you want and easy to watch fast paced fun action film... watch Fading Of The Cries!! There were some small issues with continuity but i always find them a fun part of watching any film. I saw the movie tonight and enjoyed it a lot so here's my take: Pro's: Good special effects (even though there not all done) Excellent hour and a half (the movie is probably 90 minutes in length if I had to estimate the pacing in that time period was spot on) Good combination of horror and action (I'd say more horror though say in the vein of PAn's Labyrinth, which had a good mix of horror and action). Jordan Matthews nails the swordplay...and there is a lot of it (like probably about 70 percent of the movie). Cons: There wasn't much story or character development and there wasn't a ton of dialogue (we didn't get to know the characters as much as I wanted too). The chemistry was also a bit off between the two leads, but you can't have everything (like I said, it's a popcorn movie, not an Academy Award Film). The last 25 minutes shifted more into a action (it had a nice climatic ending that I won't spoil, and it ;eaves me wanting to see more).Overall I'd give the film an 8.5/10 because it was an innovative look at a superhero other then all the Batman's and Supermen we're given a truly conflicted character who isn't fully invincible. There are many quotable scenes, funny moments, and good special effects that you haven't seen in other movies before. I expect this film to make a lot of money at the box office this summer and please many fans or people who are looking for a solid popcorn flick.
The movie is weird...the "first part" of the movie fails to deliver almost everything...from story,to action...all the scenes are forced and it's not difficult to see the "make believe" in the combat scenes...The dialogs are bad...they sound like dialogs in a porno movie...better yet, the porno movie Dark Angels 2 works even better has a horror movie (it's about vampires)...Then we have a "second part"...more or less the last 30 min of the film, maybe a little bit less...the action is more fast paced, and the effects improved a bit....and then, we almost want to see more...just a bit more...But,in all,the movie lacks almost everything...it steals scenes from other movies, like The Crow, The Returner...and it delivers a somewhat irregular flick...my vote 3 out of 10 just for the last half...If you don't have nothing better to do...give it a try
