The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.

This story has more twists and turns than a second-rate soap opera.

While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.

The plot is very solid as well as the storyline. Zeta-Jones and Eckhart did a good job in both their respective roles. The chemistry was pure rivalry and competition of who is the better chef, who cooks better, who has good presentation, whose food taste better, etc. The owner/ manager Patricia Clarkson (Paula) does not intervene on the rivalry nor competition but allow Eckhart to take full control of Zeta-Jones's puissance position. Zeta-Jones's character works hard at what she does for many years and crafted her signature dishes which the manager back stabs and double bind the puissance in the respective roles. Lesson learned in the real world: trust no one in any line of work or business. The relationship between Zeta-Jones and Eckhart characters later turns into love, romance and then business partners. Food is the international unspoken language as humans we need to eat to survive. Food binds people together. Majority of the scenes take place inside a restaurant kitchen as the master chef, cooks, Sous chefs, understudies cooks, assistants, etc. which NO ONE wear gloves or hair nets while handling food. This restaurant takes place in NYC and the NYC Health Department is very strict about handling food and food preparation. It appears the entire staff are bear hands which is a complete health code violation incurring loss of business license and hefty fines!! Filming a movie inside restaurant kitchens should appear realistic and close to authentic which means utilizing gloves and hair nets while handling food. Why Eckhart's wear ridiculous orange clogs in the kitchen and pajama-ish pants when he represents a professional Sous chef? The only chef kitchen attire are the staff wearing white chef robes as nothing else is in accordance to NYC Health Department standards.

First of all I want to say I give this Movie Ten out of Ten Stars. First rate acting, amazing cast and story line this is fun for the whole family to enjoy over popcorn and Coco. around a blaring fire there is no inappropriate subject mater what so ever. It is about the life of an amazing chef her Orphaned Niece and an up start cook.This is a film I would See again many times, it goes along the same lines as Chef also a great film in it,s own rights . the story lines of the 2 films are very similar also in Plot in as far as there are young kids involved, and star crossed lovers they both are ravishingly funny and Entertaining films That I would give 100 out of 100 stars to

This is a cutesy, Styrofoam-plastic, Hollywood remake of a beautiful and moving German film, 'Mostly Martha'. 'No Reservations tells, blow by blow, exactly the same story - and even the lines trailed on IMDb are directly lifted from the original: Therapist: Kate/Martha, I'm sure you will be able to prevent the worst from happening. Kate/Martha: And that would be? Therapist: That he will tolerate you for any length of time. And yet, No Reservations, is unrecognizable as the offspring of its lovely parent. It's pleasant, forgettable stuff. After all, what can you expect from a romantic comedy? Listen up, Hollywood; 'Mostly Martha', with its movingly drawn, flawed, three dimensional characters, its loving lenses into a compelling world AND the humor, the romance, the feel-good journey through transformation, is what we have a right to expect!

The central relationship walks on well trodden ground - some friction and to and fro, a resistant woman eventually gives in to charm, they get together, then they break up before the finale where they amazingly reunite. Typical Hollywood tripe. Everything about the relationship and the adoption was lifted out of a manual. But the worst part of the movie was the meandering silences - in total the movie had about 10 minutes of actual dialogue, the rest of the time we watched with overlaid music as the characters wandered around performing everyday tasks failing to emit any emotions that added value to the plot. Largely forgettable fare.
