Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.

Not sure how, but this is easily one of the best movies all summer. Multiple levels of funny, never takes itself seriously, super colorful, and creative.

Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.

After the events of 'The Final Conflict' one might have thought we'd seen the last of the Omem franchise but it appears that perhaps Armageddon was just delayed. Lawyers Eugene and Karen York have been unable to have a child of their own so adopt baby Delia from a Catholic orphanage. It is quickly implied that Delia isn't a normal child; Sister Yvonne is concerned about the child and Delia scratches her mother causing a mild infection. As Delia grows her mother becomes concerned that something is wrong; people who cross Delia's path have a habit of dying... especially after Karen starts to investigate Delia's origins. When I watched this I didn't realise this was made for TV but I certainly wasn't surprised when I later discovered that it was; it is certainly rather tame compared to the original trilogy. There is almost no gore and the scares aren't all that scary. That said I still enjoyed; the deaths might not be gory but they are entertaining enough and there is a twist near the end that I wasn't expecting. Young Asia Vieira impresses as eight year old Delia; she manages to be creepy when she needs to be but looks like a normal happy child in front of her father. Faye Grant does a good job as Karen and Michael Lerner is a highlight as private detective Earl Knight. Overall I'd say that this is worth watching for the story but if you want scares and gruesomeness at the same level of the original series you may be disappointed.

Damien Thorn is dead. Gene (Michael Woods) and Karen York (Faye Grant) adopt an orphan and name her Delia. Sister Yvonne at the orphanage is sure of the baby's damnation. She goes to Delia's baptism where disturbing things happen. Seven years later, Gene's star starts rising as a US Congressman. They hire new age nanny Jo Thueson. After more disturbing events, Karen hires private detective Earl Knight (Michael Lerner) to track down Delia's biological parents.Any sequel trying to continue the franchise after "The Final Conflict" is unlikely to succeed. This one does nothing other than copy from the original "The Omen" except with a girl. It even does another decapitation. It could work if the original doesn't exist. The problem is that it does exist and this is a bad homage. There are some moments of weak writing and bad cheesy music. There is nothing scary and no originality. At times, it's comical, both intentional and unintentional.

Looks like a Made-for-TV Movie and it was. That said, it's Not as Awful as Some Say, quite naturally a Final Cash-In Produced after "Omen III: The Final Conflict" (1981). Go Figure. The Makers of this Average TV Movie figured there were still a few Ring-a-Dings in the Franchise Cash Register. So, this is what You Get. The Creep Factor Makes it Watchable, with a Fine Lead Performance from Asia Vieira as Delia. The rest of the Cast is OK and it has the feel of a Rush-Job, but Fans of the Series and Horror Enthusiasts seem to Pummel this one Routinely. There is Certainly a Hellish amount of Really Bad Horror Movies. Maybe because Fans of the Genre are Suckers. They Pay Their Money (again) and are "Horrified" at what They get.Gullible, comes to Mind, but that may be too kind for These Pretenders that seem High-Minded When it Comes to Their Beloved Horror Films. The Track Record is Really Quite Abysmal, Especially When it Comes to Franchise Films in the Genre. Overall, this is Typical in Late Numbered Series Films. Jason (Friday the 13th) actually went to Double Digit Sequels. This one is Not as Bad as its Reputation.

...But seriously, THIS IS A HORROR FILM! if it was meant to be scary it should have kept me on edge, you know like good horror films do (either that or make me feel for the characters - but that's not important when talking about this movie). The concept of this movie, when written on paper might actually be an interesting idea. Hell, there were parts of this movie which introduced subplots but (like the movie The Room) NEVER moves anywhere after it first being mentioned. The best example of this is Deliah menstruating, which could have introduced a lot of other interesting things in this movie, but instead it just sticks to this one little plot.About my summary "at least I can laugh at it". This movie really did have me in fits of laughter, I was MST3King the movie, but when I got to the ridiculous scenes, like the psychic fair, When all the psychics start having "looks of horror" (I put that in speech commas for a reason... BE WARNED) on their faces after looking at Deliah... I'm sorry just HOW can people take that seriously? let alone find it scary? it's scenes like that and some really badly written lines that make this movie funny.Oh and one thing also, Deliah does NOTHING to really say "she is the daughter of Satan" throughout this movie. Most of the time she just acts like a brat, either that or draw upside-down-crosses on things (which only happens twice). I don't think a brat is in any way intimidating. However people look intimidated at her throughout the movie, it seems like most of the characters in this movie are afraid of little girls. One other complaint about this movie. One of the basic things about movies is that the people working on the movie need to SHOW us what happened instead of TELLING us. This happens quite frequently in the movie, one of them being when Deliah's mother discovers Damien's her father, others like the Christians telling Deliah's mother that she used bad language when really she never said anything before they ran away. Just thought I'd point that out.So really, if you are looking for a movie to watch then please don't watch this. It is never scary, but unintentionally funny (which if that happens in a horror film - it's a failure) and if you're looking for either horror or comedy then please watch something else. This is a waste of time and money.
