Very very predictable, including the post credit scene !!!
That was an excellent one.
Simply Perfect
At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.
This one of the scariest monster movies ever made. The first Lake Placid was good movie. But this one was better. It was scarier. It has great acting. It also has great story line. It also has great special effects. Some people at lake in the country side battle with killer crocodiles. If you do not like this movie it is your business. But it is not my problem. Nor is the problem of the cast and crew you all did a great job. John Schneider is a great actor. This is one of the best horror movies ever. If you do not get scared of this movie. Then you will not be scared by any movie. It would be bad movie to people who don't like monster movies. Sarah L.a.f.l.e.u.r is a great actress. Sam M.c.M.u.r.r.a.y is a great actor.
LAKE PLACID 2, a straight-to-video follow-up to a lame comedy/horror movie that I absolutely hated, is actually far more fun than it has any right to be. That's because this is a B-movie that doesn't take itself too seriously, while all the while offering up a reasonable quotient of nudity and cheesy gore effects to satisfy the most jaded of viewers. In this film, residents of a local town are flummoxed when not one, not two, but three, giant crocodiles begin terrorising them from a local lake. Given that this is a low budget production, what it boils down to is a bunch of character roaming the woods and lakeside and getting bumped off one by one by some extremely dodgy-looking CGI effects. As a whole, LAKE PLACID 2 is shoddily made and there seems to be an awful lot of continuity errors that crept their way into the production. Watch out for the awful-looking CGI plane that randomly disappears in one shot, and one guy's gun changing type in another. The acting is expectedly bad - including from the guy playing the Sheriff, John Schneider, a one-time heart-throb for his leading role in THE DUKES OF HAZZARD - but the effects are even worse, even by genre standards. Still, the cheesy gore effects count for something, and there are a ton of bimbo actresses willing to strip off for guys who like that stuff.
It's funny that when I watch any kind of movie like this one, no matter how big and dangerous the animals are, I always feel sorry for the animals more than the humans. If you don't take this movie too seriously, it's a very cleverly made film re- the giant Crocs. The human's were two a penny, but my favorite was the beefcake Sheriff, walking around the place like he was Matt Dillon in Gunsmoke.I have to say that thanks to the well created Croc's munching their way through a lot of nasty stupid rent-a-gob, nice guys, I thoroughly enjoyed each mouthful, I could feel the Croc's pleasure as it devoured several people, "slurp", dragging one young lady into the lake.Yes the film was great fun, an easy 4 stars.More films like this would give me an even less appreciation of the human race than what I have gleaned over my experienced years on this planet.
This is far and away, one of, if not the worst movie I have ever watched... I say watched, as I had to stop half an hour in as it was so bad, I couldn't stand to watch any more! I enjoyed the first one, but this was just absolute gash; it seemed that they tried to copy the characters from the original movie (which was enjoyable enough) with newer, different versions- and they failed miserably. It seems that a lot of the movie has been dubbed for some reason(?) and that the cast have been told to act as badly as they possibly can- which they have all excelled at spectacularly! I can't deride this movie- and its terrible CGI/Special(!) effects enough. 30 minutes of my life that I'll never get back! On the plus side, at least I didn't watch it all!!! Shockingly bad!
