Rang De Basanti
After a group of friends graduate from Delhi University, they listlessly haunt their old campus, until a British filmmaker casts them in a film she's making about freedom fighters under British rule. Although the group is largely apolitical, the tragic death of a friend owing to local government corruption awakens their patriotism. Inspired by the freedom fighters they represent in the film, the friends collectively decide to avenge the killing.

Excellent but underrated film
This is a gorgeous movie made by a gorgeous spirit.
Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.
The story of six young Indians who assist an English Woman to film a documentary on the extremist freedom fighters from their past, and the events that lead them to relive the long forgotten saga of freedom. Rang De Basanti doesn't offer anything that other even more horrible indian movies have showcased yet and this film unfortunately is neither dramatic or even remotely just interesting and the whole dance thing and that? Yeah don't expect anything good on that level or even just remotely interesting and watchable cause it ain't..
What a movie it is. Brilliant acting by finest actors. An outstanding execution of history, politics, romance and patriotism in one frame which enlightens the young thoughts.The feel of the patriotism creates bond with the movie.All in all one of a kind movie which has no comparison for generations.
I do not usually write movie reviews, but RDB is a rare gem that needs to be appreciated. I have watched it 5-6 times, and it still makes me laugh out loud and cry every time. Aamir is brilliant as usual, but Siddharth's performance deserve a special mention. AR Rahman created a perfect score for this movie, and even at a near 3 hour run-time, the movie never feels stretched thanks to his music, and obviously, the gripping storyline. A must watch!
Rang De Basanti is a brilliantly made movie as one expects from Aamir Khan & co.It has great sets, fantastic cinematography, a good story line etc. etc. etc......Everything was good about it especially the acting.What took away from the overall effect was the ending. The last plot stretched unnecessarily and was far fetched. Till the time they decided to deal with the defence minister and what followed thereafter, it was pretty realistic.Admittedly the final plot was meant to fit in with the story of the freedom fighters that the English girl wanted to tell, but still it sort of spoilt the movie.Nonetheless, Rang De Basanti is a very good film and well worth watching. I had always seen bits of it on TV. Last week I watched the entire film from start to finish.
