I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.

I wanted to like it more than I actually did... But much of the humor totally escaped me and I walked out only mildly impressed.

It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.

This is the worst movie of akshay Kumar and Sanjay dutt the popular actors Why did they choose this It was really embarrassing to see in this garbage Akshay Kumar was fine but was unhappy he turned bad later i am not trying to say he is not good as a villain he is good playing negative roles but I like his negative role in Ajnabee and once upon a time in Mumbai dobaaraSanjay dutt could have listened to akshay instead of beating him Zayed is OK but his cemetery with Katrina was the worst Lara does well Rahul is superb he is the perfect villain The only good things about this movie is songs and action scenes Flop movie 3/10

Anthony D'Souza had carefully handpicked all the ingredients to make a hit movie. Noteworthy is the cinematography which is top-notch. The underwater sequences are shot with aplomb. The background music is as good as any Hollywood movie. The songs from A R Rahman who is riding high on the success of Slumdog Millionaire are great. The choice of locales is great. And finally to rope in the international audience Kylie Minogue is roped in. The media is used effectively to generate curiosity and ensured audience is flocked to cinema halls. What else more can you ask for? Ahem - story please. Yes - amongst all the gloss and glitter somebody just seem to have forgotten to choose/ validate a proper story/ plot to base it leading to the entire affair falling like a pack of cards. ° Akshay Kumar yet again jumps on the other side to do an extended version of his character in "Ajnabee". And adopts his son's name as the screen name. BTW - the goatee didn't suit his looks in any manner.° Sanjay Dutt was miscast. He was big, bulky and appeared averaged for the character. Also pairing with Lara seemed cradle-snatching.° Zayed Khan makes an attempt to ultra-cool. The whole sequence of Rahul Dev and Kats is so badly written even a blind can see it coming.° Lara is surely hots in Blue. For the first time I had to take note of her - seriously. She leaves no stones unturned to flaunts her figure in an aesthetic way. °Kats adopts funky-techno look in her special appearance. She experiments her looks with the piercing and sadly doesn't look quite appealing. ° Rahul Dev is as usual dependable. ° Kabir Bedi role can be timed in seconds. The execution is sleek and no two ways to that. In many movies one complains that length should have been trimmed to deliver the impact but it seems in "Blue" the editor has done a magnanimous job to extent that it fails to sink into the audience. Mr. Anthony D'Souza - don't even think of any sequel to it ref: Air.PS: And the "Sarkar/ Sethji" was literally getting on my nerves after a while.

When so many reviewers dislike a movie I always feel challenged to prove otherwise. Sadly I have to agree with the majority on this one. "Blue" is bad. I don't mind a simple plot as so long there is some creativity put in it. But to randomly steal scenes from other movies without doing anything new with them is just too much.(Examples:The boxing scene from Broken Arrow, the chase scene from Torque, the shootout scene from Bad Boys 2). Those scenes weren't nearly as exciting as the originals were. So why use them. My biggest complaint however is the lack of real excitement of any kind. The action scenes weren't enjoyable one bit. The thriller elements were laughable. From the sparring scene between Akshay Kumar and Sanjay Dutt you already can predict the ending especially when you have seen Broken Arrow from John Woo. And the actors took this movie way too seriously. If everything is lacking then at least you have to be able to count on some laughs. Do I blame these actors. Well, not really. It is the director who made a mess of this movie. He should have instructed his actors that this was meant as a parody then maybe the movie could have been fun. Only highlight of this movie is the song and dance scene with Kylie Minogue and that is saying something since I don't like musical numbers in movies. Avoid!!!

The title is an indication as to what this is about and it is indeed it makes a change to watch such a movie. A skilled diver works for a man who keeps on insisting on locating certain hidden treasures in the deep Atlantic Ocean but then his younger brother, who had left him some years back, turns up.Starring Sanjay Dutt, Lara Dutta, Akshaye Kumar, Zayed Khan, Kabir Bedi, Katrina Kaif, Rahul Dev and a special appearance by Kylie Minogue, this is directed by Anthony D'Souza, written by Bryan Sullivan, while the music score is by A.R. Rahman.A slight bit of change of role for "Munnabhai," Sanjay Dutt, even though it is an action oriented movie. And unlike his previous action movies, he does perform action but in a slightly milder form but never the less, he has performed well This is also different role for Lara Dutta from her previous movie, "Do Knot Disturb," in which she had performed a comedy act. With this, she has proved that not only is she a true actress who is able to perform every part that she is offered. She also performs well in the underwater scenes when diving.. Zayed Khan's role is okay but he could have performed better seeing that he had Sanjay Dutt and Akshaye Kumar as his co – stars and Katrina Kaif could have done better if there was more to her role. A film with Akshaye Kumar is bound to have some stunts with the action and Akshaye Kumar has performed well and his characterisation is quite convincing and Rahul Dev is also good. Finally, the former "Neighbours" star and singer, Kylie Minogue, makes a brief appearance as her self, which breathes some extra life into the film. A.R. Rahman does provide some good music score as well and in one song particularly – "Chiggy Wiggy." Director Anthony D'Souza has done something that has never been done before in a Hindi film and that is to take the audience underwater. He has handled this very well and the result can be seen on the screen in the form of under water visual effects. The underwater scenes and the relevant action scenes have been handled very well. The cinematography is worth watching. This is a type of movie that can be enjoyed by those who like to watch a movie that has some action and adventure mixed in along with some romance. A good underwater action, adventure movie that has a bit of romance.
