Best movie of this year hands down!

Admirable film.

I cannot think of one single thing that I would change about this film. The acting is incomparable, the directing deft, and the writing poignantly brilliant.

I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.

WOW! it's a very nice movie! a must see, a lot of comedy but makes us see our lives from a different point of view! a point of view of an alien, he could better understand us than ourselves.A woman likes to see one person dying slowly. A man like to see a lot of persons dying quickly.That's the human movies preference from the point of view of the alien. I think the guy is right!A woman would like to see a movie for a small cute child dying with cancer, while a man would like to see a huge meteoroid hitting the planet earth :)

This movie is the low-budget (under $1,000,000) first-time effort by Jeff Abugov. It is reasonably well-done, and moderately entertaining. It has at least 3 recognizable names in it, David Hyde Pierce ("Frazier"), just-pre-stardom Lucy Liu ("Ally McBeal", "Charlie's Angels"), and Carmen Electra (from "MTV"). For fans of Carmen's breasts, they are unclothed and briefly viewable a few times.POSSIBLE SPOILERThe part of the overall concept that I liked best was the "sperm-men", who were track-runners (all dressed in white with rubber swimming caps), who appeared from time to time. Depending on the method of birth-control being used (or not used), they would run into big foam rubber pads, or get shot by the "sperminator", or finally clear the high-jump...END SPOILERWhat keeps this movie from being better is the mis-placed narration view-point. Ostensible an alien observing the human condition, it is too much like a "Wild Kingdom" episode. There are references to "huts" (apartments) and "vegetable covering" (clothes) etc, that do not work too well. By using these and other similar references, it gives the impression that the alien has been watching our documentaries and using our phrases from the 1950's. Obviously, an advanced alien observer would frame his report in his own style, not ours.Jeff Abugov's commentary is entertaining. Reluctantly I can only give the movie a "just-above-average" score. It should have been better. The DVD has an entertaining commentary by Jeff Abugov. Too bad there are no bloopers or deleted scenes on this $20+ disk.

I stumbled across this film last night by accident on TV. I was a little sceptical at first, but I have to admit this is one very funny film. It's a great plot idea, with some clever takes on humans and well worth spending a couple of hours watching. There are no subtle twists, which is just as well, because I was laughing to much to follow them anyway. You will recognize just about every type of person within the characters of the film, and will cringe when you recognize yourself, I did.If you liked American Pie or Road Trip, this film will certainly appeal.

Bored, nothing to do, love a laugh, well this could be the perfect gap filler. Mating Habits of the Earthbound Human (MHOTEH) could have quickly degenerated into the usual 'tit flick', but thanks to some very clever writing & the superb narration of David Hyde-Pierce this movie is lifted above others of its genre. I won't spoil MHOTEH by commenting on various scenes, however, the birth scene is not to be missed. Reality TV, who needs it!. A word of warning though, there is some very strong language & some very visual sex scenes, so discretion is required for younger viewers.
