In the early part of the 21st Century, an unknown virus began spreading among the populous. Within weeks it had engulfed the entire planet, from the smallest communities to the greatest cities. Upon the death of its host, the virus would reanimate the corpse until it was no longer able to support itself. Soon the planet was infested with a new threat - the undead. You won't be disappointed!
Very very predictable, including the post credit scene !!!
Sadly Over-hyped
This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.
Compared to zombies movies like 2012: Zombie Apocalypse, Survival of the Dead, and Deadlands: The Rising, this is a decent, low budget indie film. It doesn't rely on the heavy use of CGI as most zombie films today use, which I liked about the movie. The prosthetics and special FX makeup is also fairly decent and is somewhat eerie as long as you get past the white eyes that makes the zombies look possessed. The camera is quite shaky but given that their aim was to make it as realistic as possible the shaking cameras worked for me. They reminded me of The Blair Witch Project in that aspect. The acting isn't top notch but it's also not extremely terrible and some actors definitely perform better than others. To me this film is the love child of The Blair Witch and any George A. Romero movie, where it is a found documentary-esque film that takes the time to let the viewer what is happening in their world and it focuses more on the survivors than the outbreak; although it gives a little more backstory to the outbreak than a Romero film. If there is one thing that I generally hated about the movie is a rape scene (is that considered a spoiler?) I don't like rape scenes and I don't see the point of them in zombie films. They're an overplayed shock value that just work. If you go in watching this movie with an open mind it's not half bad; just keep in mind it IS a low budget film.
i have seen too many rubbish zombie movies lately the worst two bieng 'armageddon of the dead' and 'night of the living dead 3d:reanimation', those two movies were so bad, this movie was a breathe of fresh air, very well made, and with a great realism and atmospheric look, and is in my opinion one of the better 'found footage' films, and i kid you not some of the most realistic zombie action you'll ever see, the make and sfx are top notch, and the acting is above average for a found footage movie, and a zombie movie, i cant believe all the negative reviews for this movie, its a living joke, its a good zombie movie, and the low budget works in its favour, i recommend this movie to fans of zombie movies, especially uk horror cinema
I'm not a big fan of zombie films (I much prefer slasher, gore and demonic possession type films), so maybe that has something to do with why I didn't enjoy it; that said, nothing really seemed to happen in the film. I wasn't entirely sure of what was going on - possibly down to bad writing and poor planning. The acting was mostly terrible; the only thing I really enjoyed was watching a fellow Welsmhman acting, but that enjoyment was more to do with the novelty factor of association rather than being a positive point in the film. Considering that it's a zombie film, there was a seemingly distinct lack of zombies. The film should have been called 'The Diaries' or 'The Zombie Diaries With Not Many Zombies' (well you get the point). The film didn't frighten me, it didn't engage me, I couldn't warm to the characters (apart from that mentioned above), the acting wasn't great and there wasn't much tension or suspense at all. Luckily I didn't buy the film; it was shown on the horror channel as part of their evolution of the zombie film series. I'm surprised I watched it all the way to the end; but unfortunately the ending opens up more questions than it answers - to be honest that doesn't really come as much of a surprise, given that I didn't fully know what was going on anyway. I wouldn't recommend anyone to watch this, even those who are zombie film enthusiasts.
The worst zombie movie ever created.... Horrible, I wish i had the courage to gouge my retinas out, had I not passed out from boredom. The first 5 minutes of the movie started out OK, then it just went to boring Hell from then on, needless to say, I did not finish the movie- I thought it more productive to register to a movie website and write my first review on a movie to WARN anyone thinking of renting this waste of a production they call a horror movie.Special effects? What is that? I've seen better zombie make-up on kids during Halloween. Plot? Halfway through the movie, I was still clueless on what the plot was. Had I anything nice to say about this movie- is that England has beautiful gardens.
