It's not great by any means, but it's a pretty good movie that didn't leave me filled with regret for investing time in it.

A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.

Well where do you start with such a poor film. poor acting and unlikable main characters. A film that has very little to do with UFO's. don't watch this film if your expecting fights with little green men. I understand the film is more about the breakdown of human society then actual UFO's. however you do kinda wish the aliens would just zap the main characters away just to end the film. some lame slow-mo fighting, wheres the fights seem to of started for little or no reason. I didn't even reach the end of this film before I turned it off. I normally like to watch a film while doing my ironing so i put this on, but to be perfectly honest i'd rather do my ironing in peace then watch this again.

From the pulsating, funky, and party time start to the shocking but welcome end twist this was a welcome change to the norm. The anti racist undertone set out by the early supermarket scene had whispers of Mandela. The moment that Jean Claude gave his life to explode was moving too. The thought provoking ending makes this a must for all film buffs. Too often are women portrayed as pieces of meat and not as truly credible actresses. This film bucks the trend by having both blonde AND brunette ladies, and one wore trousers. The cgi involved was amazing with what seemed like real spaceships shooting people and being able to show what extraterrestrial technology is surely like.

If you really have nothing else to watch or do, then go ahead and watch this movie. Make sure to just watch it on Netflix or rent it or something, though, as the best thing about the movie is Maya Grant's breasts...It opens with some kind of nightclub scene and some flashes of something that's supposed to be foreshadowing? But really it just confused me. It's slow to get started. There's way too much lens flare. I was actually pretty surprised by the characters that died throughout the movie, caught me kind of off guard. The ending was just really confusing. I would have liked some more clarification there. I only understood part of it. I wish Jean-Claude would have died in a cooler way. He really only makes a cameo and I'm kind of sad he didn't get to contribute more to the film. The acting is really not the worst acting I've ever seen, and it didn't really bother me much for most of the movie; there were the other things above that bothered me much more.So if I had to choose between watching paint dry and watching this movie, I would watch this movie.

I thought this might be a good sci-fi flick, boy was I wrong. I feel sorry for Sean Brosnan. Don't think I'd want my name on this one. The first hour was pretty much a snooze-fest and you see no alien presence whatsoever. The lines were hard to follow with a lot of needless hot tempers and a lot of foul language that didn't add any entertainment value at all. After an alien ship is discovered hanging in the sky, they spend most of the rest of the movie looking (and not very hard) for George. Jean Claude Van Damme, who played George, only shows up for the last few minutes of the movie and his few minutes of fighting might have been the highlight of the film. The only positive mentionable was the plot twist of what the aliens are.Other than that the movie was mostly forgettable.Plain and simple, this movie sucks. Don't waste your money, even for the $1.20 charged at any Red Box.
