I cannot think of one single thing that I would change about this film. The acting is incomparable, the directing deft, and the writing poignantly brilliant.

When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.

I am actually watching this film right now on syfy, was a little dubious at first, we have so much in the way as low budget features being created at an independent level, I feel this film does deserve some credit. The sets, some of them at least are brilliant, would not say no to having access to some of those myself. Directing, well, I say this as a film director myself, I learn all the time, both manually and technically.Story though, I feel this could have been developed much better, like the characters, they need development through the film as they become introduced to the audiences, personally, I feel this wasn't done to much effect. On a technical note, my only issue was the poor lighting scenes and the grainy picture, this is a problem with many low budget films and a lack of ability to light appropriately, it doesn't happen in every dark scene thankfully and I have seen worse grain on other films when in confined, dark spaces (Wolf Creek, a good film, let down by this technical issue), my only other little issue is with some of the effects, it's 50/50, some are orchestrated brilliantly, others are more 'what the hell was that?', but it's much cheaper to create and exploding head in edit than it is on the set I guess. So I rated it 6, it could have had some great potential, but hey, it got a sale and since I am in the same industry right now of low budget features have the utmost respect for those who made this film

I didn't even pay attention to the first 30 mins of this film until I was curious to what all the shooting was on TV. That's pretty much most of what goes on in this film - people running, shooting, and taking a breather to plot their next plan of attack or reliving flashbacks. What really irks me in this film is how on earth robots managed to take over the world when they can't even shoot straight with machine guns whilst their enemy is in point blank range and completely open with no cover.Overall a dreadful low-budget film with very little imagination and way too monotonous with overused sets and an annoying AI that butts in every few seconds. There's no plot and it's all over the place that you can't relate to any of the characters.

Rough'n'tumble electronically enhanced super-soldier Tallis (Don Wilson in strong rugged form) joins forces with a scrappy young gal (winningly played with feisty gusto by fetching blonde Katee Sackhoff) to defeat an army of lethal drones who have taken over the planet. Writer/director Jesse V. Johnson relates the entertaining story at a snappy pace, maintains an appropriately serious and gritty tone throughout, stages the exciting action set pieces with rip-snorting aplomb, brings a likable Grade B pulpy sensibility to the mean'n'lean unpretentious material, and delivers plenty of graphic bloody carnage. The engaging chemistry between Wilson and Sackhoff keeps the picture humming. Moreover, Keith David does lively double duty as both the hard-nosed Col. Norton and the robust voice of an old gung-ho gun, Bokeem Woodbine registers well as Tallis' gutsy combat partner Anchilles, and Dawnn Lewis provides lots of charming spunk as the sultry voice of Tallis' loyal rifle Angel. The sharp cinematography by Robert Hayes gives the movie a funky dusty'n'desolate look and makes neat use of wipes. Marcello De Francisco's spirited score hits the stirring spot. A really fun flick.

This film was a real stinker in every aspect. It was one horribly crafted movie with no redeeming qualities. Practically no dialog, but plenty of gunfire from the beginning to the end. For everyone out there with surround sound, your speakers will hate you after this movie. The lead guy (Wilson)has the acting range of a piece of wood. The film looks like it was shot at "generic land," with too many cuts to this unconvincing deserted movie back lot(battle aftermath). The art director tried to convey the feeling of "no people living here anymore" by having news papers blowing in the wind (wow). The character Wilson plays (Tallis)has a gun that speaks (there was no way to tell where this voice is coming from, but I assumed it was his firearm.) Dumb! Also in regard to the bad guys in this movie, I kept seeing the same group of 8 or so of these "robots" getting blown away. They resembled a kids' Power Ranger costume that would've been more appropriate for Halloween. Finally, what made my skin crawl most of all, was the love scene in this mess. Awkward, awkward, awkward!! You could tell that the actors had zero passion--but being the seasoned Hollywood pro's that they are...did their job and kissed for the sake of art. Here's my message for the brain child of this movie, "please do not make another one."
