Harry Hill is and always has been a little bit like Marmite - you either like him or you hate him. The same can be said for The Harry Hill Movie.Harry Hill has always done surreal comedy, that's given, even back in the days when he was on Channel 4. In more recent times he became even more well known for TV Burp, which itself ran for 10 years and made Hill even more of a mainstream celebrity.Of course, having a successful show like TV Burp means anything you do afterwards is going to get compared to it. Including this film. Large chunks of the film are typical skits that with the right linking material wouldn't look out of place on TV Burp.The film's basic storyline essentially boils down to: Man takes dying hamster to Blackpool. Man's brother, who is into taxidermy and also a bit on the weird side, wants his brother's hamster to stuff. That premise stretches itself for 85 minutes - painfully. Not even the presence of Julie Walters, former Little Britain comedian Matt Lucas and the voice of Johnny Vegas can save this.Simon Bird features in this movie and can now have been said to have gone from one extreme to the other - his appearance in the excellent The Inbetweeners to his lacklustre own creation The King Is Dead (thankfully didn't last more than one series) and now Harry Hill Movie, which is only a step up from King is Dead due to the fact the movie had a bigger budget and was a better end production.There's a few things that could have worked better than they did but the end result appears to be a film made for the sake of making a film. The storyline starts off daft and gets dafter as the film progresses, ultimately concluding with a near obligatory final dance-off for no apparent reason.Harry Hill can do far better than this. Absolute die-hard Hill fans and those who loved, cherished and adored TV Burp will probably get a kick out of this but everybody else will just wonder what on earth is going on.

Harry has an evil twin brother, who looks like Matt Lucas, who wants Harry's pet hamster to finish off his weird hamster town type thing.He hires Simon Bird, and a Richard Keil lookalike to apprehend the hamster, but Harry thinks that the hamster only has a week to live, so he takes him on a trip of a lifetime, to Blackpole.....Well come on, what did you expect?It's called The Harry Hill Movie, it was released the week before Christmas, and it's aimed at the little ones, so it's hardly going for the art-house crowd.As you would expect, it's bonkers, confused, and way over the top, but Harry has that presence that you can almost forgive him for doing this, and give praise for him at least trying to give us some sort of plot and narrative.It's also a musical if you want to put the knife in a little deeper, and features a mutant hamster, shell people, and a strange reference to The House Of Wax.Out of all the TV characters and series that get big screen incarnations, this is far from the worst one out there, because it just doesn't even try to make any sense of it's own narrative.Great for a Saturday morning when you've woke up unexpectedly early and have nothing to do.

First of all i liked harry hill doing TV burp he was funny. Now he is dead to me he does not make me laugh like he used to. The film makes no sense and its just as bad as Keith lemon the film (oh the horror of that film). This movie has to be as bad as transformers 2. Julie Walters has good in her career but now she went the wrong way in acting. Harry hill's credit to comedy is gone like the hair on his head. Harry hills TV burp will never be the same again. The reason i give this movie 2 stars out of 10 is because i liked the idea that harry hill wanted to do a movie instead of just TV.Bad bad bad bad bad bad. This movie is so bad it makes Adam sanders jack and Jill look a wee bit good. Bad bad bad bad bad bad. If you liked this movie you either 1 love bad comedy's or 2 don't have a life and you laugh at anything.

I watched Harry Hill The Movie and I loved it! The actors in the movie are great in the film. First, Harry Hill and his nan perform amazing stunts in this film and is absolutely hilarious. The jokes, the stunts, the scenes and the acting is amazingly funny - but professional. I hope this film gets released on DVD as I will definitely be buying it! The hamster is really funny and cute - and hilariously voiced by comedy legend Johnny Vegas. Nan (Julie Walters) was extremely funny, performing great stunts and cracking hilarious jokes - like Harry Hill. Meanwhile, Harry's mean brother Otto (Matt Lucas) and his evil team try to steal the hamster - following Harry, Nan and the hamster all the way to Blackpool in disguise. Overall, it was a really funny movie and great for the family. 7/10!
