There comes a time when one decides to watch a Disney Channel movie because they want to watch something upbeat, cute and fun to pass the time. That's how I ended up watching Teen Beach and was pleasantly surprised. I really liked the choreography, songs and the plot (though highly unlikely) was pretty good. I liked it for what it was and was definitely interested in checking out the sequel.However, the sequel completely strips away everything I liked about the first, especially by canceling out the first movie by making the end of Teen Beach 2 rule out the complete existence of "Wet Side Story" and the leads (Mack and Brady) knowledge of the other's existence until they re- meet. I liked the premise of the movie though of Mack and Brady going back to school and realizing the couple version of them in the summer is different from who they are in school. Except, when the cast of "Wet Side Story" entered the scene - the whole movie went downhill. Don't get me wrong, I like the characters from "Wet Side Story" but the writers didn't know how to juggle the two alternate worlds very well and the objectives for the characters could have been better. I hated how I felt this movie went in circles and didn't progress forward. Like how the songs from the first were re-featured, not in a new feeling way that could be applicable to a new situation but more for the sake of singing the song. Or how the cast of "Wet Side Story" left the real world, then came back to the real world, only to have to leave again. Was that necessary? The earlier tensions between the leads basically dissolved on their own or had no substantial backing. And, of course, I hated the ending! Mostly because the adventure of the first and second movie is completely wiped from the memory of the leads and they have to start all over again in their relationship because the movie "Wet Side Story" changed. A Whole New Alternate Reality? SMH.In my opinion, this movie missed the mark. They had all the right tools (formula of acting, singing, and dancing) but didn't know how to use the equipment... Sad, really. I wish that Teen Beach Movie was left as a stand-alone or instead the "Wet Side Story" cast was drawn to the real world to show Mac and Brady they are meant to be together in their school lives, through substantial plot, while simultaneously learning about the real world themselves. Oh Well! Another one bites the dust.

***SPOILERS***I disliked this movie ending, I thought it totally forgot the 1st movie . They made it so it seemed like they started all over again, in my opinion. The ending was okay. The ending just made it seem like the 3rd(if they're was one) movie would be the 1st one all over again in my opinion once again. I was pretty disappointed. Now they rest of the movie was really good. The backgrounds were well detailed and you got every detail from the last movie. The outfits were amazing! They were really stylish. I liked how they added new characters in. I loved the choice of characters names. I personally liked the first movie better, but that's my opinion! I tend to usually like the first movie better than sequels. I would rate this movie 3.5 out 5 stars.

This movie has none of the charm or fun of the first one. And the music is, at best, forgettable. Most of the songs sound like something created by American Idol, with just as thin a melody and lyrics. There was one decent - could have been good - song pretty much at the end of the movie that almost had interesting choreography - the 'truck stomping' bit was fairly creative as opposed to all of the rest. Otherwise, the most memorable songs were ones that were carried over - and 'redone' - from the first movie. Some of the horrible examples of what is wrong with this movies are: There was no attempt to even try to pick up the story from the suggestion given at the end of the original.The new 'songs' were horrible and forgettable. There was none of the fun of the originals nor was there even an attempt to give them any decent choreography. A lot of the songs were just played while the actors walked through the current scene.The actors - especially the guys - had horrible makeup and hairdos. For the most part they looked like they had died and been made up for their viewing at the funeral.They totally screwed up the storyline from the first to the second movie. Brady and Mack DID NOT meet in 'Wet Side Story', they met in before they went back to the movie. So trying to create suspense based on a nonsensical change in the original storyline just blew the whole idea.The ending was horrible, and an insult to the original movie and even managed to be an insult to the imaginary movie 'Wet Side Story'.Need I go on? Disney would do well to chuck this movie immediately and pretend it never existed. Then they should either go back to the drawing board and come up with a movie that played truer to the first, or just not make a sequel at all.I'm going to have to go back and watch the first one just to try to erase this one from my memory. But it was so bad it's probably going to take at least 10 back-to-back viewing of the first to even start to do so.

i love this movie so much i watched it last week on Disney channel app and it was wonderful i hope everyone will enjoy it the soundtrack is great i already download it on my tab everything is perfect the acting has improved from the first movie Brady is a cute guy and Mack is a pretty smart girl i liked Lela's dress for school and her fashion she is so pretty and Tanner was the funniest one i laughed so much and i also cried when Mack and Brady sang meant to be because it was so touching it's the best Disney channel original movie! There are more actors in this movie and a lot of songs the song of Sabrina carpenter is so great when they were dancing a slow dance it's full of energy the final scene was great but i think Mack should wear a longer skirt because it's too short she should wear more suitable clothes not a swim suit when she was dancing. It's better than the original because the story is more powerful and funnier!
