It is not deep, but it is fun to watch. It does have a bit more of an edge to it than other similar films.

When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.

The movie is wonderful and true, an act of love in all its contradictions and complexity

I saw this film at the closing night of the Long Island Gay & Lesbian Film Festival on November 16, 2015. For a good portion of the movie, I had no idea what the title had to do with the film or why it was selected for this festival. I should have known that there was much to be learned during the second half of the film.The acting is nothing less than superb. Only after I read the review on Variety.com, did I learn that the lead actress, Kalki Koechlin, is much more than a performer. She truly inhabited the role of Laila. Every mannerism, every bit of emotion was so authentic that I thought this was a true story about Kalki, herself. The relationships throughout the film are well-defined, from the father who initially seems stubborn and a bit detached to the beautiful (inside and out) mother to the very modern younger brother to the boys who either love or break Kalki's heart. And then there is Sayani Gupta as Khanum, who becomes Laila's soul mate. There are many charming moments; funny scenes; and plenty of opportunity for a good cry. In the end, Laila learns to love herself. she is not just a brave young woman, she is a delight. And you won't want to miss the steady stream of fabulous hanging earrings - pretty much a new pair are worn in every scene. They seem to represent Laila's emergence as she finds her true self.

Journey of Laila, a girl with Cerebral Palsy trough obstacles in life, through different phases of love, different orientation of sexuality and music that encircles her life like a bunch of flower.Beautifully written and treated with tenderness, this film can give you the feeling of emancipation , an hour without the target pressure , maybe something more. Amazing performances by Kalki Koechin,Sayani Gupta , Revathy which actually keep the pace of the film , or maybe the binding energy of it. Music is brilliantly placed with enchanting background scores,its a perfect 'voyage' to some unknown destination, which you will definitely discover after the film.The most important part of this film is the ending of it,which is so beautifully taken.The simplicity of this movie makes it a lovable one. This is not an entertainment masala movie of bollywood, this connects to a bigger set of audience. Its a must watch film for all the film lovers. p.s.- Some people are saying that this movie is a slow pace and lagging most of the time .I must reply to them that all great arts in this earth are slow,tender and are told in a murmuring tone.Have a margarita with a straw. Kudos to the team who went deeply into the hearts of the physically and mentally disabled people for knowing their life. Some people choose their life in their own way and some don't have choices Kalki a talented music composer is very confused in her relationship being a mentally challenged girl all she wants who should take proper care of her. Initially she had a normal relation , then comes the homosexual part , then Bisexual and at last being asexual . Kalki a brave character tells the world even a gay or a lesbian or a normal person carry emotions with them. Every one should have done a "Yeh Jawani Yeh Deewani" but "Margaritta with a straw" none other than Kalki would have done it. Matured acting , brilliant direction and superb star cast made the movie worth watching at the theatre.
