Am i the only one who thinks........Average?
The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.
It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.
The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful
"Breathe" is beautiful film on the life of Mr. & Mrs. Robin Cavendish. Robin, completely body-paralyzed due to polio, is, according to his doctors, doomed to live his small & miserable life bed-ridden in the hospital. But, as Robin says, the doctors never give thought on things that are believed to be impossible. With the help of his family and trustful friends, Robin not only conquered his own misery but also helped other paralyzed patients live better dignified lives beyond the walls of the hospital. The film delivers good in terms of acting performances by Andrew Garfield (as Robin Cavendish) and Claire Roy (as Diana Cavendish). The film provokes the thought of how even a so-believed 'disabled' person was able to bring hope and happiness in the lives of people he touched. And for that, some of the unnecessarily lengthy scenes in the end are totally excused. The film is a good watch for its beauty, ideal life partner depiction, inspirational theme and impactful acting by cast.
English isn't my native language, so forgive me in advance:)I loved this movie. I was impressed by the acting skills of Andrew Garfield, totally believable. Claire Foy did a great job too, I think she's a very good actress, I have to admit that at times I found it difficult to not see Queen Elisabeth in her. The story line was a bit rushed though, their relationship didn't really develop on the screen and for me it was hard to believe she really loved him in the very beginning of the film. But towards the end it was totally believable. One thing I missed was a great score, the music was almost absent, they should have asked Rachel Portman for the soundtrack (Never Let Me Go). But hey, that's just my opinion. I shed some tears at the end.. It's a story about true love! Go watch it, you won't regret it!
A true story of a polio victim who did not want the disease to defeat him and in the process invented equipment that improved the lives of the disabled.
Breathe is an interesting fact based film because it reveals the isolated lives of polio victims in the late 50's and 60's. Really loved how the whole story was portrayed. Performance of the casts were amazing. . It will let you feel what true love is, what family is & lastly inspires us, it let us understand own will is the true mantra behind achieving something. this It made me cry at the end :'( Loved every bit of this movie
