Very well executed
So much average
Highly Overrated But Still Good
By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.
this movie was a complete and total waste of time. I usually do not like low budget movies because most of the time I can tell that they are acting but I wanted to give this one a try. And of course it did not surprise me by the under and over acting that was in it. I was completely confused the entire time but I kept hoping that it would get better and in the end I would miraculously understand everything that was going on. But that did not happen. This is a spoiler alert but I don't understand why the creepy guy said children and there was only one girl. I thought that he meant children because he was one of the children but at the end they got together so if he was one of the children, that was complete and total incest. I still kind of don't understand what happened in that house and I'm not understanding why she killed her friend, both of them were just completely crazy and none of that was called for. Even the stabbing was horrible. This movie was so dumb and irrelevant that I wish that I could just take it away from my mind and never have gotten it.! People you shouldn't watch this! Just save the hope and go to a new movie because it is really not worth the 80 minutes that it takes to get to the end.
I am usually forgiving when watching B grade movies, hey I've even watched Z grade movies and wished that I didn't and moved on. This movie could have been way better with imagination, I found myself thinking that "they should have done that" on several scenes. The way way Andi Norris' character was portrayed, I wasn't sure what gender she was at the start, and then was hoping that there wasn't going to be a nude scene with her in it.Overall, the acting could have been better, the plot better, and the lack of scare made this movie a huge disappointment to me.Really, don't waste your time.
I would give it a zero if I could, I was so excited for this movie because I knew someone that worked on it. bad actors that make you want them all to get killed off (except the one bad guy who may have a future in acting).wasted plot line that drifts slowly and endlessly.and the title makes no freaking sense in regards to the movie, not a single thing is invoked in this movie, it's not in the kind of forest that is on the poster, that's not the same girl and it definitely isn't the same house.this movie just wants you to get it confused with the Conjuring and mistakenly rent it.on the bright side this confirms the idea that anyone can make a movie, regardless of mental handicaps or lack of talent.
"The Invoking"-Something, a spirit maybe, is being called forth from some beyond. Is the whole title based on invoking her memories? If so, then the villain/hero should have given her more information. There is no foreshadowing at all. She appears completely normal. Does the villain plan for her to see the ghosts? If so, he has great talent that is never revealed in his other interactions. Realism? Where? No one would allow this creep to hang around and no one would like Mark. Ah, they are only symbols of her emerging memories--then this is very poorly done. It was clear from the beginning that they would all die, but how? By strained idiocy. The title is misleading and worst of all, if that is actually the cover of the DVD, then it is false advertising at best. No house even vaguely resembles the house on the cover. What a piece of crap this is. I will say that with a proper script, these people may have been better, but the villain is clearly a creep, a poorly done creep, and his goal is simply non-predictable and, therefore, fails to provide a satisfying conclusion.
