Private eye Roland Drake cracks cases and romances femme fatales in 1940's Los Angeles while corrupt cop Det Barry Tate rules the city. A tale told in the classic style of film noir. Drake has fallen on hard times in a harsh world. He has been evicted from his office and disgraced by a missing persons case. Ruined in the public eye and with the police. it seems like it's all over for Roland Drake. Then, redemption walks in - with curves. The owner of those curves is a sexy, dark haired beauty named Katherine Montemar. She wants his help. The chemistry is immediate and her concern for the disappearance of her family members pulls him into her case - and into bed.

Excellent but underrated film
best movie i've ever seen.
what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.
"Trouble Is My Business" sets out to be a fresh look on an old genre. It succeeds on every level. Taking the look, the feel, and the gritty humor of classic film noir pieces and bringing them together with two versions of Brittney Powell.The dark and moody feel is juxtaposed against the shadow and wit of the writers and director. They use big words and small cars to find their way through a gruesome city of intgrigue. The cast has the challenge of keeping you curious and invested in each character as the simple plot becomes more and more tenacious and fulfilling. Luckily for us, they triumph over the trap of simple parody to make their own mark as a stand alone film. A film like they used to make. Back when they made films.I look forward to the remastered version, where the film grain will be more apparent and the beautiful music will wobble some.* I am not a movie reviewer by trade. And it shows.
This film is unwatchable. Apparently the people participating in it are logging on IMDb to give it 9- and 10-star ratings, The acting level is at college levels, the scenario worthy of a country club play, the production is backyard/ garage/ basement-based. The budget is that of a yard-sale and there are Youtube films out there that are worth twice and thrice the value of this film. The only reason I spent so much effort to write this review is to save people from time and bytes wasted.
Trouble Is My Business 2018 is a neo noir/film noir style starring Tom Konkle,Brittney Powell This is a masterpiece movie a great film. A wonderful noir story,I grew instantly to a knew and true appreciation for this epic film noir/neo noir film, and the back ground music is fantastic. This timeless masterpiece film into the noir world it's going to be a classic movie, a true epic film with wonderful true drama noir style actors.
I confess, I couldn't get all the way through this: porn-level acting, script and production values but with zero sex and nudity. That's quite a frustrating two hours, to be honest.I checked it out because of it taking the title of a Raymond Chandler book of short stories - none of which are here used. Since the film is set in the same genre, in the same period, and very much in the same style, stealing the title could be seen as - at best - audacious, but less generously as outrageous cheek. It's clear the creators were trying for something better, on a very small budget, and they should be applauded for that, but the end result just really isn't very good at all, with nothing new or interesting to add to an already very well-explored territory.
