Wonderful character development!
Beautiful, moving film.
Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.
if their story seems completely bonkers, almost like a feverish work of fiction, you ain't heard nothing yet.
a technology dependent middle age man. and a surprising adversary. premises for a splendid show of imagination who only an independent film could give it. because it is one of the old fashion comedy. in fact, it is a return to the gags poetry , so strange in contemporary animation, but useful and adorable. a show of disaster who preserves the force of subtle irony. because it is a social critic. and wise gift for the child inside us.
(Screened as part of the myFrenchFilmFestival.com that is underway only on screens - the TV link does not work for most of the features and the shorts, no matter what anyone else might tell you).Well, this one was a welcome relief when it screened just after 'Aissa', due to the heavy material the latter showcased in its 8 minutes. This one's shorter, but acted as a welcome put-no-thought-and-have-a-break kinda respite. However, it also did have something to say, a la 'Wall-E', where humanity is represented as being overtly technology-dependent, and where an accidental 'short' causes/forces the lone human to actually stretch his muscles, for a change. The way it has been enacted evokes entertains and evokes genuine laughter at the character's predicament, and the irony of it all, and was staged very imaginatively, with the film-makers using the means at their disposal, taking full advantage of the milieu of animation.A good way to act as a bridge between heavy-stuff being played in the other shorts. Worth a watch for sure.
