It's funny watching the elements come together in this complicated scam. On one hand, the set-up isn't quite as complex as it seems, but there's an easy sense of fun in every exchange.

It was OK. I don't see why everyone loves it so much. It wasn't very smart or deep or well-directed.

The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.

The movie's not perfect, but it sticks the landing of its message. It was engaging - thrilling at times - and I personally thought it was a great time.

I found this movie to be disappointingly lacking in plot, therefore losing its appeal to me. The lip-syncing is so terrible I find myself muting the singing scenes. And if Loretta is a good dancer, then I must be an expert. And I suck.The special effects were decent enough, but it was by no means able to make up for the plot--or lack-thereof. Ricky and Leah did the best performances, but it is my opinion that the rest of the movie was dragged down by Spencer Redford.So, in my opinion this is a movie that is probably turned off quite often.

It's a Disney Channel movie. So it's not going to win any Oscars, or make use of realistic science, and it's quite predictable. But it's fun, and sweet.Loretta is quite annoying in places, but I think that was the point. However the dubbing when the girls are singing is very unconvincing, those scenes can be painful to watch I'm afraid. But I loved the sequence near the end in the rain.A great movie to watch if you can suspend your disbelief enough and have some time to kill and it appears on TV, but I wouldn't hunt it down or anything.

For the detractors, as MST3K has always advocated, "Repeat to yourself, 'It's just a show, I should really just *relax*.'I enjoyed this movie, especially with my five-year-old son, who really likes the songs (he sings them while walking around the house). Of course, the typical five-year-old's penchant for watching a new movie meant that I watched this movie four times this past weekend, but I digress.I concur that this movie is better than the typical Disney-TV-movie-a-tron fare. It's not groundbreaking cinema, but it does tell a story with a decent moral (albeit the moral is laid on thick, like mortar with a trowel), and yes, the acting is good.I *loved* the search engine, as well as the depiction of being in Samantha's brain.

I really was disappointed. Like many of my friends we're older and can't appreciate Disney movie's like younger children can. But I expected more out of Disney. They're credits, films, and shows have only gone downhill since the original Walt died. There is NO replacing him and his great creative ideas.
