8213: Gacy House
A group of paranormal investigators enter the abandoned home of paedophile and serial killer John Gacy, hoping to find evidence of paranormal activity. Upon entering the house they set-up cameras throughout the abandoned house while going room to room with hand-held cameras, performing séance's and asking for John Gacy to come forward. As the evening progresses it seems the investigators are not prepared for the horror still within the house.

This movie is the proof that the world is becoming a sick and dumb place
One of my all time favorites.
best movie i've ever seen.
It is a whirlwind of delight --- attractive actors, stunning couture, spectacular sets and outrageous parties.
This movie put out by Asylum...I cannot find the review right now, but one other reviewer said their were some problems with all Asylum movies, that they repeat the same lines over and over, because they have nothing to say. This observation nails it. Listen for people saying the same things over and over, and I mean within seconds, not just as the movie progresses. Then there is this technique of "people chatter about nonsense until the lead character takes over the scene". This too was overused.None of the characters say anything personal, except during their 10 seconds introduction on the film. They also copy about 12 different stunts from Paranormal Activity - I don't mind a few, but seriously... I could come up with something different for the entity to do if I spent about 15 minutes thinking about it... but I won't, I was supposed to be entertained, not be the entertainer.Even for a micro-budget, they could have done better. The only thing I liked was the genre they are pursuing.
This is the worst movie that I have ever watched. I am not usually a horror movie fan, because I am a huge wuss, and get scared more easily than a 5 year old little girl. That statement alone should send up a red flag about the quality of this movie. I watched this movie with my boyfriend for Halloween, expecting to scream and jump and then have to sleep with the lights on. What happened was, we spent the entire movie mocking its lack of originality, consistency, and just bad judgement call in writing and acting. They made some obvious consistency errors, such as an actor turning off a lamp that wasn't on when viewed in the camera shot beforehand. Also things like travelling alone into areas where accidents had happened - typical bad movie behaviour. We waited the entire movie to be scared, or maybe even startled, but it never came. I felt like I was watching a poorly made low-budget student film. I understand and like the idea behind the movie, but they went about it all wrong. I have never posted a review before, nor have been compelled to until now. That is how bad it was. It's not even good for a "bad movie" night, which I enjoy from time to time. Just don't watch it. Trust me, your time is better spent elsewhere.
Is the "haunted house/Paranormal Activity/Blair Witch" thing a bit over done these days? Yeah. But me being interested in serial killers, this one kinda had me throughout.First off, you got a guy that looks like McLovin in this, two fairly attractive blondes (one for the fans of busty girls and one for the more modest type) and the main actor looks like that guy from Kangaroo Jack. I loved the comparisons for everyone. It does do the kinda lame thing where nothing happens for a while and then the predicable shock happens, but what horror/thriller movie doesn't? On that note, I think this is more of a thriller than a true horror. If you have a scary ghost movie, of course there's going to be the creepy basement scenes-plenty to offer, and scenes where you say to the character "Dude...you really just went there alone? *Sigh* See you in the sequel." lol Okay, so the actors aren't the best, the camera work is a bit shoddy, but it's a fun movie to watch with a group of friends and a few beverages. Just have an open mind, expect nothing, lights off, and hit play.
(maybe spoilers?)The movie looked to be entertaining and good at first, it was creepy and chilling, but then they show a sex scene with two of the crew members and that took all seriousness out this movie, and there was also breasts showing close to the end of the movie,it was a typical Hollywood thing to squeeze in nudity in horror flicks and who has sex during a ghost investigation in a creepy house anyway? Another thing that bugs me about this movie is that they claim that this was a true event and they shown the death certificates of the victims, which i can surely tell you are fake, because the real Gacy house was torn down while looking for the bodies of the victims, and they claim the house in the movie was abandoned but the house was clean and well kept, wth? all of this does take away the seriousness of this movie and makes it into a joke and i only recommend it if you're bored or like torturing yourself with would be real ghost investigations. overall bad movie could have been better.
