Best movie of this year hands down!
Very very predictable, including the post credit scene !!!
Am i the only one who thinks........Average?
It is a whirlwind of delight --- attractive actors, stunning couture, spectacular sets and outrageous parties.
This movie,is actually not bad,for what it is...a FICTIONAL version of the events. Many reviewers seemed to have been expecting real life, out of a fictional movie. Fine, that's their right&choice, but for the fictionalized movie that it is,it's really not too bad,if you don't go into it,expecting the true story...which it's not. 'Based on a true story, etc',does not always mean it is THE true story,or even the whole story,in some movies. The metal music is fitting though, since he was a satanist into metal/rock. I like movies for what they are, though&don't give a hoot about who directs them, etc. Many people are 'nitpickers',who LOVE to nitpick movies apart, rather than just try&enjoy them as they are. Whatever. I liked it pretty well, though it could have done without so much of the spazzy effects,in some parts&I would have liked more to be shown,in the kill/rape scenes, you know,to show how sadistic, violent&&terrifying he really was. No,the ending was not the real deal, not even close to what really happened, but then again...it is a fiction, loosely based on The Night Stalker,(Richard Ramirez)&his crimes, not a genuine true account of those events. If you know that going in,it might not be so bad. Give it a chance. (:
nightstalker is based on the true story of richard ramirez, a serial killer who was terrorising l.a in the 80's. the real case is fascinating, this movie is not, despite a decent cast, and true life foundations, nightstalker never realises what it wants to be, on one hand its pretty accurate with some of the murders, and the guy playing ramirez is pretty good, but the movie is filled with this hyper editing whenever the nightstalker is in his car, and we see a demon alter ego and its as pathetic as it sounds, too flashy for a low budget movie, and while it aims to be scary and unerving it fails, some scenes of the murders and aftermath are good and atmospheric, and its a shame because it could of been a good movie of the story, but the director just hasent got a clue, so we are left with a film of the two halves and neither of them any good. there is another movie based on the nightstalker buts its supposed to be worse than this so i think ill give it a swerve, shame this story deserves a good movie
Well, this movie was, quite frankly, on crack. It was really jumpy (kind of like an even more drugged-out Requiem for a Dream - which says a lot.) This worked in some places, particularly when the NightStalker was, in fact, doing drugs. However, the part that has him walking up the stairs a good half-dozen times was too much. This movie in no way told the story of Richard Ramirez (or Robert Ramirez, as the summary on this website says.) The most glaring problem? Ramirez is currently awaiting execution on California's death row, for goodness sakes! I heart Danny Trejo, so that was probably this films saving grace. Even so, all I can say is: I watched it once. I would not be opposed to watching it again, but believe me, I will not be the one saying, "Hey, you know what would be GREAT to watch right now?! Nightstalker!"
This film made me feel travel sick from the start. I was expecting horror, gore and action i got neither!! The story only covered about 4 days of his life and hardly featured anything of any real importance at all it didn't give any background on him and it didn't show any detective work in detail.Waste of my time!!
