Autumn

The virus came so fast no one had time to prepare. Before the day was over, entire towns were decimated, and large cities became monumental tombs. Left with nothing but fading hope and the will to live, reclusive software consultant Michael (Dexter Fletcher) and temperamental mechanic Carl (Dickon Tolson) lead a small group of survivors into the country in hopes of riding out the coming winter. But now the decaying victims of the plague are reanimating, growing more smart and vicious with each passing day. Now, the only hope for the survival of the human race is Phillip (Carradine), a man who refused to leave the city, and has somehow avoided becoming food for the flesh-eating masses.

This movie was so-so. It had it's moments, but wasn't the greatest.

A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.

One of the worst ways to make a cult movie is to set out to make a cult movie.

This is a nice break from all the zomedies out there, even though i do enjoy a good zomedy. But this movie is serious and somber, the world has ended. I notice a lot a really bad reviews, but 'worst zombie movie' is a ridiculous title to give this movie (for the worst zombie movies that aren't worth watching, see Redneck Zombies or Pot Zombies or Zombie Diaries). However, if you're looking for gore, comedy, or action/thriller, then Autumn is not the movie for you. It is very slow, similar to classic horror films. At first almost everyone dies.....no one knows why,and yes, i don't know how a viral outbreak could be so quick, but the characters in the film acknowledged that....but no one is left alive to work on finding out what happened. A good bit of the movie is the waiting for zombies to happen, which adds a nice bit of suspense. We the viewer know this is a zombie movie, so we know the dead will come back to life. But the dead initially just stay dead, so no one suspects that they will become zombies, and then at first when the rise, they aren't violent yet. So there is a long time building up to having zombies...over half the movie. The movie is more about people's feelings and reactions to the end of the world. Some good dialogue, although the sound recording makes it hard to hear some people when they're talking softly. As for the somber zombie movies, Exit Humanity is better than Autumn, but Autumn is still a good movie. I've enjoyed it 3 times so far, and I'm sure I'll watch it again.

I love movies, especially ones with zombies. But this one was almost hard to sit through. It was like a long BORING book. The story was great. It is hard to be original with zombies, but I thought this one was pretty different. Not many people got eaten. WHICH SUCKS! I really just think the way it was filmed was terrible. A lot of the movie was so dark you couldn't see anything. Other parts, the camera was shooting around so fast it was like a blur. And then the worst of it all(minus sound quality) were the random tints and noises. I made a few home videos when I first got my camera and editor software... This was like that. They were trying way to hard.Acting was good though! And like I said, good plot. Just not portrayed very well on camera. I would be mad if it was my movie.Wont recommend, but I also won't say not to watch it. If you have free time you don't mid wasting, why not? =)-Mattie Nyte-

I must say I am deeply concerned about the credibility of many of the reviewers of this film. (Please don't review movies if you haven't watched them, or watched a pirated version, or have only seen the trailer). To call this movie one of the worst movies ever made is a grave injustice. In fact, if I wanted to waste my time with your insufferable reviews, I would go through and give all of you an unhelpful marks, for your comments about this film. Many of you clearly didn't even watch the film, based on the things you said, and I can only guess that many of the reviewers used pirated versions rather than the version that I saw. Another problem is that many of you are commenting about this film who dislike the genre in the first place. They say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. That is usually what happens with zombie movies nowadays. This film was creative and original. It tried some new things, and didn't just follow the typical formula.Sure it didn't have a huge budget, the lighting was off at times, but it was overall a very original well done film. In fact, some of the cinematography was downright haunting and beautiful. This movie is right up there with Colin as one of the best lower budget and most original zombie movies.I should also let all the haters know that I watch every zombie and infected movie. I consider myself as close to an expert as they come. This is my favorite Genre. From Night of the living dead to Colin, Ponty Pool, Day of the dead (1985), 28 days later, Rec2, Cemetery man, White zombie, Dead Snow, Tokyo Zombie, Fido, Zombie, Deadgirl, Return of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, and on and on, I have seen virtually all of them and for any serious zombie fan, this deserves to be given your attention.I must apologize to the actors and filmmakers, that there are so many actual zombies out there in the real world reviewing this film. I will give this film a 9 out of 10.

This movie starts a bit slow but as the movie progresses so does the quality and action. I think for a low budget movie it does well with the graphic nature and intense physiological build up of the zombie interaction as it progresses from the zombie being docile and brought inside to be studied, to the growing intellect and need to feed, turning them into aggressive predator in a matter of days/weeks, leaving everyone unaware of the danger till it is to late. This is the way horror/zombie movies can be done that changes the way we the audience view this type of movie and helps us to react with the survivors of the movie as it progresses.
