Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.

The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.

I happened to find this movie by random coincidence at the local secondhand DVD store for about $2. I do enjoy horror movies, and a movie based on the actual serial killer couldn't be all bad. But I was a bit hesitant about it when I saw who had the lead part.Without going into much details about the story, then it can be easily summarized as a movie about notorious serial killer Ted Bundy.Story-wise then "Bundy: A Legacy of Evil" was unfathomably boring and rather uneventful actually. You don't care for any of the characters in the movie, be it victims or killer. Why? Well, because everything was so superficial and shallow that you can't emerge yourself into anything. And the actual killing scenes were just unimpressive. One thing that did work for the movie, and which was much of a surprise for me. This was perhaps one of the best performances by Corin Nemec. It was just a shame that he was held back by a flaccid storyline and script. Also, Kane Hodder is in the movie, which was a bonus for any horror fan, but it was nowhere near enough to salvage this movie, not by a long shot."Bundy: A Legacy of Evil" is really not worth wasting your time or money on. If you like movies about real serial killers, then there are some better choices available.

I think the title here is appropriate in that I do believe that this film may be the worst film that I have ever seen. I am in complete accordance with member "lovemyhayabusa" and I too read Ann Rule's "The Stranger Beside Me". This film is a gross misrepresentation of Ted Bundy on a personal level. In addition the film is seriously disturbing and this is not balanced by the interesting features of the case. I mean come on the World has been fascinated by the case of Ted Bundy since the 1970s! How can you make a movie about such a fascinating subject so pointless and uninteresting? Also, I take particular offense at how careless the film makers were with regard to the actual facts of the case and in the misrepresentation of Ted himself. I live in LA and I recognized many of the locations in which this film was shot. At no time did Ted Bundy live or kill in Los Angeles and many of the killing scenes are filmed in desert and he mostly killed in Washington State and Florida. I know that it was low budget (obviously) but there could've been some effort made to make the locations look reminiscent of the actual places the murders occurred. Its ridiculous and almost funny how inaccurate this film is. This is my advice for the film makers and those involved: If you're not going to make a film well (or at least descent for Christ's sake) don't make it at all. In addition the acting is very clumsy and the lead seriously botched his job. This was horrible and quite possibly the worst ever. Frankly, I don't understand how it was rated as high as it is (3.8) it should be at most a 2, I think. But that's just me.

The name Ted Bundy does cause some interest; but I refuse to recognize him as an American icon. There have been better accounts on film dealing with this demented serial killer's exploits. Yes, he had a reign of terror from coast to coast in the 1970s; leaving over thirty dead as he preyed on young women trying to blame his deeds on an unhappy childhood and his hatred toward women in general. Corin Nemec playing Bundy is really a bad choice for the part. Sure Bundy was arrogant, but this guy is just plain sickening. There is a horrendous soundtrack trying to simulate music from the era; there is no doubt in my mind this stuff was not on American radios or jukeboxes. Most of the dastardly deeds are left to the viewer's imagination, with the only gruesome material maybe being the aftermath of an electrified Bundy smoldering in the chair. It is doubtful you could get a quarter for this DVD in a yard sale.

Unremarkable biography of serial killer Ted Bundy. More lurid than anything this film probably would never gotten anywhere had it not had Bundy's name attached to it. Its yet another in a long line of recent films based upon real life killers made purely to mine the small niche market of the audience who likes films about serial killers. As those sort of films go its not bad, but at the same time its not the sort of film that I can even suggest to anyone outside of the target audience. If you're a fan of serial killer films or serial killer pseudo-biographies then you'll probably like this to some small degree. All others are directed elsewhere.
