The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.

I saw this film tonight in London and the theatre was packed. Within the first 30 minutes I could understand why. What a wonderful Indian film after a long long time!! Very well made. Very punchy, funny and realistic. Good performances by everyone especially Sharman Joshi and Sohail Khan. The character casting is excellent. Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in a cameo are great. One of the rare Indian productions where the jokes were effortlessly funny. Music is great and so are the songs. Songs are panned out well and do not stand out as in most other Indian films. Song likes Rab Ka Banda, Karle Baby Dance Wance are really well shot...Rab Ka Banda actually makes one speechless.... Very touching and refreshing film. Very highly Recommended!!

Atul Agnihotri has come up with some interesting cinema, certainly defining himself as someone above average. What he achieves in "Hello" is transcend the line between inspiration and a miracle, awakening an emotional connection to the very special element great cinema can deliver. The packages might have changed, and the contents are more controversial and maybe a bit more tied to reality, certainly taking us to an exotic local, teaching us that our world extends beyond our freeway and limited perception of how more than the other half of the world's population has to deal without certainly preaching to us.At first, the story introduces Salman khan who is on a world tour and happens to meet a stranger in airport lounge.. to kill time she offers to tell Salman khan a story provided he makes a film on it...Salman after much hesitation agrees to listen to the story which is about six character in a call centerThere is an element of freshness in the way the story is presented, as we accompany Shyam through his life odyssey is determined to be the team leader in his call center. There are some strong emotions in the film, and Atul's direction keeps the film dynamic and engaging.Prepare yourself to be overtaken by emotions as varied as joy, pity, happiness, anger, revulsion, surprise, and an exhilarating conclusion rarely seen in movies anymore. This film has made me grateful to be alive and that we still have people in cinema like Atul who understands the power and beauty of the medium. He knows that the perfect mix of a great story and the respective imagery can provoke unforgettable memories in its audience.Hello is by genre a comedic drama, but it becomes much more. The film asks questions about fate, righteousness, greed, and even urban sprawl. Above all, however, it is about that phone call from god .... every characters story is a tragic and unfortunate one, but as seen through their eyes, it is still beautiful. It would be nearly impossible for there to be a better picture this year.See this movie it won't disappoint!

I just knew that this was based around a few characters who work in a call centre and nothing else and having had some experience in working in one, I thought it would be interesting to watch. The story is told to a protagonist rock star by an unknown woman and is based around three women and three men who work in a call centre. The story itself takes place during one night and each character reveals their problems whether it is their love life, marriage problem or any other problems, which also includes the prospects of all of them loosing their jobs as the centre belongs to an American based company and the manager of this centre is extremely keen on moving to the USA.Starring Sohail Khan, Amrita Arora, Sharman Joshi, Isha Koppikar, Sharat Saxena, Gul Panag, Dalip Tahil, Suresh Menon and Rishi Nijawan. While Arbaaz Khan, Salaman Khan and Katrina Kaif make special and guest appearances The movie is directed and co – written by Atul Agnihotri and written by Chetan Bhagat and is based on his book entitled "One Night At Call Centre." Sajid – Wajid provide the music score. This has some flaws which are conspicuous and stare at you through the screen. A good example is whenever time shown - for example 0.09 is shown as 12.09am – that is incorrect and should be shown as 0.09 and there's no need of having "am." Another flaw was that each person who works at a call centre knows their shift patterns but here, each of the six receives a call to inform them that it is their time to be on the job. The third flaw was that there are so many breaks during the shift and also whenever they want, which the floor manager on duty would not permit even though it may be at a time when there are not many calls coming in. Talent has been wasted in this movie, which also goes onto criticise mostly the Americans a lot. There was no need of Salman Khan's character, as a rock star, who, like Shah Rukh Khan, in "Om Shanti Om," removes his shirt and in what way it is connected to the story just does not make any sense and the music can be considered as too loud and does not support the movie in any way whatsoever. Lastly, there was no need for a character such as god (and I am no blaspheming) to tell a story, which leads me to write: Katrina Kaif "Tussi Great Nahin Ho." Conclusion: Not worth wasting time and more importantly, in this time of financial crisis that is engulfing the world, don't waste your money on this.

Hello, the movie, is loyal to its source 'One Night@ Call Center". Thats where the issue lies. Let me explain. Hello is the story of 3 Men and 3 Women working at a call center, their lives, their work and above all their relationships. Without dwelling much into the very well known and popular story I can safely say that the story is very loyal to its source. Its so loyal that it forgets that reading a piece of Literature and watching the same thing on-screen are two completely different experience. The Novel is so popular that most Indians are very familiar with the story and how it ends. When they go to watch the same thing on-screen it becomes very predictable. It actually becomes boring to he movie-goer even though the acting and the character developments are well enough to match the novel. But then again, when filming a novel of such popularity a direction just would not dare to twist the story to an extent where the original becomes separable from its copy on celluloid. So, if you have read the novel, you have seen the film too. Regarding the acting, the only thing awful in this movie is Mr. Khan. He should stop playing characters which are suitable for actors 20 years younger than him. Specially 'paired' with an actress as young and beautiful as Ms. Kaif. One of the comments on IMDb objects to the movie calling Americans Dumb. Agreed, they are definitely not. But it is a well known fact that in call centers in India the '35=10' rule is followed. It is to ensure that no agent is rude to the 'general' customers (who are, in most cases, 'relatively dumb', regardless of which country they belong to) and not to poke fun at any country. Also, racist calls are rampant in call centers. In all call centers. Not just those serving US clients/customers. Overall - 7/10. Strong recommendation: Set your expectations right before you see this movie IF you have read the book.
