It's unoriginal, badly written, and downright racist at times, but Carrie Fisher made me laugh out loud several times ("They're your bitches" is my favorite, but you have to watch the movie for the set-up). Almost all of the Mexican characters were the usual stock stereotypes, from the corrupt, bumbling cops to mama and the big family throwing a fiesta. But that said, the scenery and the lead actors were pretty to look at. Pleasant enough to watch if there's nothing else on and you're willing to let your brain turn to mush. If you liked that dreadful Matthew Perry/Salma Hayek movie from about 10 years ago, then you'll probably be able to sit through this one.

Carrie had me laughing throughout the whole movie! (I originally watched this because she was in it, now I'd watch it again for the movie itself.) I love romantic comedies and Carrie Fisher, so the two together it's like WHOA!! The plot was really good...Melisa married a total stranger the day before her wedding and she has to get the whole thing like annulled, and she has this control freak mother, Edwina (who is played by Carrie Fisher) who is like in freak mode the entire movie. In the end she chooses to leave Bryan (her fiancé) and go with Carlos. I loved the part where Edwina says:"Nothingis impossible. It's just possible with I M in front of it. You see I-M possible." I often use that when people say things are impossible!!

I absolutely loved this movie. The mother was a little too over the edge for me but I thought the rest was wonderful. I hope this will be shown again soon and often. It was great, creative, and touching. Laura and Matt gave excellent performances. It was truly a great story, the two actors had excellent chemistry. They really sold the emotions of the characters. When will this movie be available to purchase? I definitely could see this movie over and over again. I'm going to definitely tell my friends and family all about this movie. I loved it. I also love to watch It's a Different World and Living Single; boy oh boy does Oxygen have really great taste in programming.

I had the horrible misfortune of changing the channel to one that was showing this "thing that should not have been made." The plot was corny, tired and absolutely unbelievable. Furthermore, Laura Preppon as anybody but Donna just doesn't work. I kept waiting for the rest of the cast of characters from that 70's Show to appear at any moment as I watched the approximately five minutes of this movie that I could stomach. She has definitely typecast herself as Donna. The male lead, Mr. El Pollo Loco, was laughable in his role as well. What were the casting directors thinking when they cast these two in the leads? Princess Leah as a blimp did not help things either.
