There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.

The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.

this movie is AWESOME! But do ya think they could stop giving JJ(Jonathan Jackson) roles like this? I mean, he always plays the kid with the problems-well, not always, but lately.... and Seth:CREEEEEEEEEPY!!!!! AUGH! He looks like a friggin vampire throughout most of the film! But, ya no, I don't really mind that so much as the weirdo "momma loves her baby" crap. that was just like do do do do...do do do do...twilight zone, yano? Otherwise, I thought it was great. It was well written, and "K-Mart" must have had lots of happy shoppers that day! lol The female ones at least... But he's got this aura about him that's just so...so...reawr!back off or I'll bite your f!@#^$% head off!- looking-in the movie. in real life, I gather, he's a total sweetheart.anyway, I'm taking up 2 much space so I'll end my blond train of thought right here. :)

Jonathan Jackson and Treat Williams (who also played father and son in Deep End of the Ocean), are together again in this eerie movie where again bitterness and resentment prevail between the two. Jackson plays Seth, a tormented teen with a troubled past...his mom was killed in a house fire when he was just a kid. So he's become a rebel. Seemingly stereotypical, until odd things start happening around town.Disappearances of people and murders...and Seth's dad suspects him. Is he merely trying to get his son out of the way to make room for new girlfriend/fiancé Linda Hamilton? Or is he looking for a scapegoat to pin the blame on? One things for certain....We all have a few skeletons in the closet...but this time, the skeletons are real.

Hi, I've seen it. I know it wasn't a huge hit but loved it... So I am biased - I grew up in the town it was filmed in but still liked it. Good movie. Treat Willaims and Joshua Jackson were great! Story line kept you on the edge, seemed choppy at times, but it got the point across. If it had a bigger budget I think it could of done a lot better.

I really liked this movie for the plot but I believe it was a little weak in the acting and the film product could have used some help. The plot was gripping and the main actors that were picked for this film were excellent choices, they were very good at their parts but the minor and extras needed to be a bit more believable. For example the father of Seth's girlfriend was need of some major acting lessons. Plus the directing was great for the angles but it had its inadequate parts like most films. But the again the story line was the strongest and best part of this film and at some of fragments of the film it was the only thing that was kept me watching. I feel that everyone should consider watching this movie.
