That was an excellent one.
Pretty Good
Best movie ever!
In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.
I was thinking of another hellraiser movie and the last one was really very bad. However I was unexpectedly surprised to see that this version of the movie has been done like I expected it from a good hellraiser movie. I am seeing it now for the 5th time and I find out new details and this is what I wanted from a good horror movie. If people ask me I can see hellraiser is back again and I found a new track a new road to continue on
This franchise has veered so far away from its core essential that the recent couple of releases hardly should wear the title "Hellraiser" any more. The storyline here was about two detective brothers chasing after a deranged serial killer. While the Cenobites and Pinhead himself were but a mere backdrop put in here to justify it carrying the "Hellraiser" title. The acting in the movie was actually good and they had some nicely talented actors and actresses to portray the various roles. However, the lack of Doug Bradley as Pinhead just takes away everything that is "Hellraiser". There are certain iconic actors who solely should portray specific horror characters, Doug Bradley is one of those. The special effects were good, and there is a fair amount of violence and blood throughout the movie. If you are expecting a proper "Hellraiser" movie, then you will not find it here, as the franchise lost its bearing with the countless releases throughout the last 10 years or so, hardly worth the time or effort.
To the makers of the film - you think that was hell? Please.I work a 37.5 hour a week job, in which I do the same work every day, yet the amount of work never reduces. On top of that, I spend an hour a day pedalling relentlessly on an exercise bike & try to make sensible food choices when all I want to do is eat cheeseburgers....This is all I could think whilst watching this film on the bike. Take that however you will - perhaps it was the awful acting (I have seen better actors at a school nativity play) or my own personal rage *shrugs*.
I am a big fan, and this movie was the last shot. It killed the image of hellraiser forever.
