Such a frustrating disappointment
Powerful
A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.
The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
This was okay, another one of those Hallmark Christmas movies I can't help but watch at this time of year. Candace Cameron Bure is enjoyable, kinda perfect for these types of movies. Here she plays identical twin sisters who switch places and plan Christmas events for one another, but with one rule...no new romances. This proves difficult on day one.Candace does a good job with both roles, one twin is a single mom in a small town and the other is an executive type living in the big city. They both of course find love during "the switch" and the finale sees them getting caught out by their beaus. The romances are sweet, nothing memorable.FYI CCB's real life daughter plays her teenage daughter here.
My girlfriend loves Hallmark --I'm not much into it , but for me being a suspense, action type --I loved the movie ! The reason --the movie producers did a great job of making Candace play two parts which is a job in itself . Good FAMILY morals -- which this country needs so badly . The naysayers should not take this movie so serious --my friends and kids loved the movie . I must admit a lot of other Hallmark movies are too corny , but this one kept me interested until the ending .Good job Hallmark !
Candace Cameron Bure is my new Christmas sweetheart. While we don't see much sexiness from her, no hot dresses or anything really close, except for some nice tight jeans, I still liked the movie. She has very bubbly charm that is infectious. I want to celebrate Christmas with her every year. It must have been a tough shoot. Everything around her works pretty well. It tough to mix in two love stories into one move but it seems to work.
This was confusing. The idea of twins switching is probably as old as mankind. It's certainly been done in books and movies. But it isn't done in Christmas movies as often as so many of the other devices. And this one was done pretty well. The story had all kinds of possibilities and made good use of some of them. If nothing else, the movie kept you on your toes trying to remember which one you were looking at as the settings switched back and forth. I think we knew that in the end we weren't going to be very surprised. So often in reviews we talk about the chemistry of the leads. Candace Cameron-Bure had chemistry, with two men. Eion Bailey and Adam Sinclair each clicked with Candace.Production and scenery were good. It had mountain view and exterior Christmas decorations and interior Christmas decorations which were all beautiful. As is often true with Hallmark, family was a big theme. And many of the other traditional themes were present as well including some sappiness. However, overall, I think this movie presents it all in a little different way.
