I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.

Wow! What a bizarre film! Unfortunately the few funny moments there were were quite overshadowed by it's completely weird and random vibe throughout.

1st Match: Johnny B. Badd vs Steve Austin, WCW US Heavyweight Championship. A good start to the show, there's not a lot to write home about other than it's a pretty lengthy first match. There's good back and forth action, but I thought John would've won given his apparent rise over the past two PPVs. Rating: 3.5/5 2nd Match: Terry Funk vs Tully Blanchard. The match drags on and on and ends in a double DQ. Well that was sure uneventful. Rating: 1/5 3rd Match: Lord Steven Regal vs Larry Zbyszko. So I'm guessing the theme of the show is legends come out of retirement for one night to have matches? I'm still pretty green in regards to wrestling from this period, but that's what it looks like to me. The match is a little too long, but Regal losing to an older guy is pretty funny. Rating: 3/5 4th Match: Dustin Rhodes vs Bunkhouse Buck, Bullrope match. Not quite as good as their from the previous PPV, but still a pretty good brawl. Beings the guys don't have to touch all the turnbuckles to win, it keeps the match from having any real slow spots. Rating: 4/5 5th Match: Ric Flair vs Barry Windham, WCW World Heavyweight Championship. So two members of The Four Horsemen fighting against each other, sounds good to me. I honestly don't know that much about The Four Horsemen other than a few members that were in it. If I'm correct, Benoit was a member at one point in time. Anyway, both guys show some skill, and the crowds into it. The ending's a little sloppy, but other than that it's a good title match. Rating: 4/5 6th Match: Cactus Jack and Kevin Sullivan vs The Nasty Boys, Broad Street Bully match for the WCW Tag Team Championships (Special Guest Referee: Dave Schultz). OK, these super specific and one-off "No DQ" match names are getting a little old. I guess you could call that a nitpick, but other than that this match is amazing. Weapons everywhere, bodies getting thrown left and right, and the crowd eats it up. This was more than likely done to cater to the ECW crowd, but I don't care about that. Rating: 4.5/5 7th Match: Sting vs Vader, WCW International World Heavyweight Championship. A feel good way to end the show. Crowds from Philly are some of the most bipolar crowds I've seen. I've heard of "heel towns", but it's like the crowd can't make up it's mind half the time. At least Sting wins and there's some good back and forth action. Rating: 4/5 Final Rating: 7 out of 10. Despite the complete waste of time that was Terry Funk's match, the show is pretty solid. Aside from that one match, the only other problem I had was with the drawn out interviews and inductions. I didn't count those against the show though, because what makes a PPV great is the wrestling, not the interviews. If you can handle those two things though, you should enjoy this.

1. U.S. Heavyweight Championship: Johnny B.Badd Vs. Champ-Stunning Steve Austin - Austin looks like Breivik there, he retains. Again too technical. 6/10 2. Tully Blanchard Vs. Terry Funk - Blanchard has got Jericho 1st WCW theme. Pity that piledriver from turnbuckle onto chair didn't fit. 5.5/10 3. Larry Zbyszko Vs. Lord Steven Regal - Regal ate lost, but the match wasn't for his TV Title. 6/10 4. Dustin Rhodes Vs. Bunkhouse Buck - Bad match, moreover boring as Dustin could be. 4/10 5. WCW Heavyweight Championship: Champ-Ric Flair Vs. Barry Windham - Champ retains 6/10 6. WCW World tag Team Title Match: Cactus Jack/Kevin Sullivan Vs. Champs-Nasty Boys - Sullivan as face? That's terrible. match is like ECW. It goes. Cactus pinned Sags. Exaggerated celebration. 6.5/10 7. WCW International Title Match: Vader Vs. Sting - Good chosen main event, best match of the evening. 8/10
