Unshakable, witty and deeply felt, the film will be paying emotional dividends for a long, long time.

The biggest problem with this movie is it’s a little better than you think it might be, which somehow makes it worse. As in, it takes itself a bit too seriously, which makes most of the movie feel kind of dull.

Here's a tip: Barbara Bach (who was the Bond Girl XXX in "The Spy Who Loved Me" the very same year!) gets naked at about the 10th minute of this movie. Fast-forward to that point, watch her in all her glory, then shut it off. Nothing equally worthy of your time will happen later.Renato Pozzetto plays a poet who comes to Milan hoping to finally get his collections published. He loses his wallet at the train station but later finds the man who has it, a photographer called Click (Adriano Celentano). Click writes him a check instead of giving him the cash, the poet soon realizes that getting his money back will not be easy, but the two men become friends anyway. After more than an hour of totally random, aimless and laughless "comic" misadventures, the film takes a dramatic turn, but that doesn't really work either, because neither of the characters is particularly likable - they're both quite selfish, really. The 110-minute running time suggests that Sergio Corbucci must have been in a very sadistic mood when he made this. Oh, and Bach is not in it for more than 10 minutes total. 0.5 out of 4 stars.
