A film with more than the usual spoiler issues. Talking about it in any detail feels akin to handing you a gift-wrapped present and saying, "I hope you like it -- It's a thriller about a diabolical secret experiment."

The acting in this movie is really good.

Story/Plot - A bank has been robbed by Michael Kittredge (Vinnie Jones) and now he and his team have turned terrorist and hijacked an oil rig of the coast of California. On this rig they have set up an electro magnetic pulse with the intent to use it in order to cover up their crime and be free from prosecution.However, they did not count on tug boat captain Lamont Dixon (Eddie Griffin) surviving a brutal attack on his vessel. Dixon joins forces with an undercover FBI agent and enters a fast paced race against time to make sure that this emp does not get set off. My verdict - A very fast paced hands on film. Full of hand to hand and gun combat, along with a few explosions. This is a definite must watch film. Great actors, actresses and camera work has ensured this film is worth a watch.

If you have watched a lot of B movies as I have, you have probably watched your share of "Die Hard" rip-offs. So you might be wondering how the "Die Hard" rip-off "Blast" differentiates itself from others. Well, for one thing, it's the rare rip-off to cast a minority in the hero role. And the screenplay was written by Steven E. de Souza, the screenwriter of "Die Hard"! Maybe de Souza thought that since everyone was ripping him off, he might as well rip himself off. However, this rip-off falls far short of de Souza's previous glory. For one thing, parts of the script are really inadequately written. Both the heroic lead and the prime villain are pretty thin. The actors don't get enough to aid them, so their characters end up being very uninteresting.Actually, most of the faults found in "Blast" are not due to de Souza. The movie has one of the most grossly miscast leads I have seen in a movie for a long time. While Eddie Griffin can be funny in comedic roles, seeing him trying to act like an ex Navy SEAL is ludicrous. Another problem is with the look of the movie. While this movie had a budget much higher than many rip-offs of "Die Hard", only a few brief moments look slick and expensive; most of the movie looks like it was done with a television budget. As for action, the action goes wrong in every way you can think of, from its editing to its direction. There's absolutely no excitement to be experienced. The entire movie has a ho- hum feeling to it.If you want to see a *good* rip-off of "Die Hard", I suggest you watch the Dolph Lundgren movie "Command Performance".

This film is an absolutely evil and bad as I think that absolutely is not better than ever not to spread the example. These are my reasons. First: It is evil and reprehensible confuse environmentalists who are against the monstrosity of placing a tower of oil extraction off the coast of California that use of their legitimate rights are converted into manifestation of the "bad", confusing its leader with a terrible terrorist who wants to wipe out the United States simply for money. Second: Not content to makers of this absurdity is that a bomb has painted a hammer and sickle, the universal emblem of communism coincided with the former Soviet Union. As in the best times of the Cold War, and in the absence of more credible and convincing enemies have no reserves to use these despicable methods to manipulate the brains of people who have the misfortune to run into this crap that in the absence of arguments using weapons, explosions, shooting, violence absolutely free and what is worse, using the figure of a child and noble sentiments that are prostitutes to raise money.In possession of a genuine ingenuousness I wonder, how is it possible that there are people who can devote to a movie so bad? No wonder, then, that ordinary people do not go to theaters to see this movies, much less to see films such low value free of any film and ethical value.

I thought i was going to be watching a comedy when i saw this, BUT...... OH NO! This is one serious hardcore movie. A tour de force. Stretching all my emotional muscles.Its easy to cast this film off as another under siege or,if you like, passenger 58 (i missed the first 56 films) I laughed - I cried (mainly from laughing so hard) In the end a B+ Eddie griffin is cool.ALSO That scene where he thinks back - classic - you just have to watch it.Quite high budget as well.Vinnie jones is quite funny.
