There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.

Love anything to do with Batman and any superhero or supervillain, animated or live-action. Also like to love a lot of the animated superhero/comic book films, so part of me was expecting a great deal from 'Batman and Harley Quinn'.Sadly, 'Batman and Harley Quinn' turned out to be a big disappointment in ways that have been summed up very well in previous reviews, not much to add. It isn't as bad as 'Batman and Robin', it takes a lot for any superhero film to be as bad as that (there's a reason as to why whenever there is a film part of a franchise that disgraces the franchise it is likened as "the 'Batman and Robin' of..."). That however doesn't stop it from failing drastically to live up to its potential. There are plus points. Kevin Conroy and Loren Lester do a great job as Batman (as one would expect, Conroy is without equal as the character) and Nightwing. Some of the animation is meticulous in detail, faithfully drawn and brooding, other parts though could have done with a lot more care and refinement (there are lapses in continuity here and there). The music is atmospheric and pulsating. However, most of the voice actors don't fit the characters. Melissa Rauch is a very awkward fit for Harley and Paget Brewster has done much better work than her fairly anaemic Poison Ivy. The characters are poorly written, either being flimsy in development or personality or out of character.Much of the dialogue doesn't work, the darker dramatic elements ring hollow and the comedic approach to other parts jars. The jokes are not funny and are incredibly juvenile and forced, while the more serious nature of the story is hampered by over-reliance on over-convenient plot devices, dull pacing, lack of coherence and some scenes being irrelevant. The much panned sex scene particularly is completely out of place. Tonally the film is all over the place and incredibly disjointed, and the ending is highly suggestive of the writers running out of ideas because it is the complete anti-thesis of going out with a bang.Overall, disappointing and fails to pack a punch. 3/10 Bethany Cox

Granted, as most of you are saying here, the movie was not what was expected it to be. Nonetheless, i found it great. Most of the review up here are talking about how it's an insult to the original animated series but what you forget is that this is not an episode of that series. This is a stand alone feature film in the same style of the series. This means they used their original designs en animation style of the series and that's it. And being a feature film animator myself, they took that style to a whole new level with this movie. I loved the improved animation in the action sequences and it really worked well for me. Animation overall was better than what they did in the series. The Musical number was indeed a strange choice but i enjoyed it anyway. Especially when batman starts tapping his finger. Of course, this is completely off character but still it works and showed us that he does like music. What I think it boils down to is that most people expected to see batman, Nightwing, Harley... in their traditional way, the way they know these characters. What we got instead was a movie where the character were very human. A great example of this, and some people might find it distasteful, is the Harley/ Nightwing sequence. It made Nightwing much more human for me. He is a man, she is a sexy girl. How would you react? Another example is the ex boyfriend. This shows that Harley had a life and boyfriends and breakups. Sound familiar. Just think about it, this gave the character so much more depth then just being the villain we all know and love. Even the fart joke, I think a perfectly timed fart joke is timeless and is funny to anyone. And again that made characters more human with bodily functions. I personally think this is a very enjoyable mature superhero movie in a unconventional way and i will recommend it.

It is quite long ago since I have laughed that often while watching a Marvel comic movie. I really liked this combo because Harley Quinn with her funny comments was a formidable opposite to the all time serious Batman. Seeing a former bad girl teaming up with the good guys while still keeping her own style was a really refreshing experience. And Nightwing all in the middle getting his head turned by a not so bad "bad" girl.. Also it had some deeper thoughts about former criminals struggling in life while trying quite hard to stay on the good side. Additionally the story showed that the world isn't black and white. Sometimes the motivation might be justifiable while the methods to achieve the goal are completely wrong. Because of combining all that very well it was a nearly perfect mix for me to watch. Can I have more of this, please?!

First of all, the movie totally sucks. The movie is an insult to Batman the animated series, DC and even to Kevin Conroy. And who came up with the idea of casting Melissa Rauch for voicing Harley Quinn? She sounds disgusting. I couldn't bear to watch the whole movie and stopped watching halfway through. Not sure what's wrong with DC nowadays. They even managed to make The Killing joke shitty, despite the fact that it is undoubtedly one among the best Joker/Batman comics ever.
