Brilliant and touching
There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes
Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.
The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful
Go figure another movie that promotes racism against white people. Funny if white people did this towards black people they would never make it to the screen. Keep on trucking liberals.
Amazing comedy, smart scenario. Worths every minute!
But I liked the movie. I'd watch it again. It's not a blockbuster and it wasn't meant to be. It's a different take on an old hollywood formula. Marlon Wayans is the best thing about it, besides Brian McKnight. I cried at the end.
While scrolling through Netflix during my lazy night in, I noticed the movie "Naked" had been released. Being a native to Chucktown (Charleston), I decided watching it was a must. About 10 minutes in, during the hotel check-in scene, I noticed a very attractive guy playing the part of the Mill's House Valet. Assuming he lives in Charleston, I looked up the entire cast of the movie online. However, the very attractive mystery valet was not listed. Being in the industry myself, I find this very unprofessional and rude. All the other extras were listed but not the main valet? I was extremely disappointed. But after much creeping on my part, the hot extra's name is...GEORGE HANDY. Please give full credit to the proper people. As for the rest of the movie, it was extremely average. Acting was below par, script was poorly written, over all a big disappointment.
