There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.

I'm very sorry. But this movie is really bad in my eyes. It does however get points for being sweet.. As a Danish woman I can't help but notice that the Danish is just.. HORRIBLE.. The kings name would never be a Danish king and his mother and father are still alive, so I can't imagine that he has the throne just yet. (Not even our Crown Prince has it yet) A Danish king is ALWAYS either called Frederick or Christian. I had my doubt when starting the movie, but I was still shocked. I feel this is much worse than the first where there was, at least, some Danish actors who spoke it fluently. If they wanted "King Edward" to speak Danish he should be able to speak it fluently. I will not watch this movie again.. I've rarely been this disappointed at a movie within the first 10 minutes. The story is very much American, I can not see how this would happen in Denmark. Our princes are both married to girls from different countries, so that he is supposed to marry Paige, is in my mind, very believable. I think it is cute.. But being Danish.. This does not fit my culture at all.

Why just why make a sequel with an other actress? Personally I just love Julia Stiles and how she can carry out an entire movie. Off course the first movie isn't a specific jewel, but it can entertain you for an evening. The second movie has an even worse scenario, the prince and the student need to get married, but someone will stand in the way. The question is how will this end, who will get married? Beside a bad script the acting doesn't stand out either. There are some nice and enjoyable moments in the movie which can make you smile but the ending is so far fetched (and off course very easily found) that you get left behind feeling cheated on. Part 3 and 4 I do not dare to even think about watching...

This movie at first was a clear but now is a difficult case for me. Like probably all people who see this film for the first time, I saw "The Prince and Me" first and this second film is way worse than the first film. The major problem, of course, is that they exchanged almost all of the main cast. This makes it difficult to identify with the story and the characters. Also, it is very obviously that Luke Mably really didn't want to be in this one (and I can understand why he didn't).The plot is thin, Paige is annoying, Edvard looks repulsed most of the time, and all the other characters are just ridiculous. That was a while ago. In the meantime I have seen the film about three times. On my free will. What did change my mind? Simple: It was one actor. Jonathan Firth. In my opinion, he is the most elegant, sweet and sensitive character in this film. A real joy to watch. And basically the reason you like watching the whole film in the end.Because it seems with brilliant actors that, their talent, and the heart they put into the role seems to rub off on the characters and the plot. In his calm and careful presence, Paige suddenly becomes a soft and likable personality, Edvard becomes sarcastic instead of depressed and the bitch of the film seems even bitchier. So, in the end I can say: "The Prince and Me 2" is really a bad film. BUT Jonathan Firth's performance is worth every minute and you have missed something if you haven't seen him in it.

I just saw this movie, and as a Dane, I'm offended and disappointed. It was just so... bad! The plot seemed unoriginal, the cast was .. well, disappointing, and what happened to Paige's hair? Movie 1 it was brown and straight, but now it's unnaturally curly and blond? And the actor? Kam Heskin? Not really...But what I had the biggest problem with was that this was supposed to be about a Danish prince, and that most of the movie is supposed to take place in Denmark, yet there were no Danish actors (in the first there was at least one), and the actors who where supposed to be Danish couldn't even speak Danish properly, and they almost didn't speak the language at all! I know Danish is a hard language to learn and to speak, the Queen of Denmark's husband doesn't even speak it that well after many years in Denmark, but then you need to employ at least A FEW Danes, instead of just teaching the actors a few words. Most of the characters' names weren't good either. I don't know if the writer researched Denmark or Norway and Sweeden when finding names, but names like Rosalind and Edward are very rare, and not exactly typical royal names. Harald is not common either, at least not in Denmark. One of our princes' is name Felix! Joachim! Christian! Frederik! I have a whole list of this that seem wrong about the movie from a Danish perspective, I just needed to vent a few.It just really annoys me that they couldn't take the time to make an effort. I heard the first movie was inspired by the love story of our future king and queen, Frederik and Mary, and in that case, I'm offended on behalf of the royal Danish family.Gads, that movie was bad.
